How to sue a company?

Im not really that fussed Sarah, its not really about money (would come in handy though haha) quite more out of principal. From a legal prespective, why should they get away with it especially as it has been going on so long?

This is the problem with the mantra "consumer revenge". I really wish this site would stop using it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I agree with ccotaxc, a letter to the company thanking them for coming clean about the issue but stating how upset you are being a committed vegetarian would be your best course of action. At least they came clean about it, they could, as others have said just changed the recipe and not told anyone.0

Exactly who are you inteding to sue and for what?
Your work place for providing the machine?
The vending machine company for installing the machine?
The soup supplier for unknowingly supplying the incorrectly labelled soup?
The soup manufacturer for incorrectly labelling the soup?
What is your actual loss that you intend suing for. Has the soup made you ill, or fat, have you had to buy new clothes?
Has the fact that the soup wasn't veggie caused you so much distress that you can no longer work and are suing for loss of earnings?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I would personally get the address of the company and write to them asking what was in it that was not vegetarian and pointing out that you did make a choice and therefore expected to be informed correctly. If you estimate the costs you incurred buying the product and put that info in the letter perhaps you will get a refund or a courtesy gesture.
Unless you were buying it because (like a friend of mine can't) you couldn't digest meat proteins its really not sensible to sue them.0 -
I am going to put on the toaster now, some real butter and a bit of marmite. care to join me?
No, love the sentiments. I have the same every sleepover. Johnny donna want that, Betty canna have this.
6:30 am. Grill On. 6:35. bacon Under. 6:55 Scrambled Eggs made. 7:00 Fried bread, in last weeks dripping done, beans warmed through. 7:01, queue of mouths. 7:01:01. Absolute silence.

OK, let us break this down.
Yesterday, OP suffered no ill affects for having said item.
Today, it is found out that item was incorrectly labelled and OP does not eat or drink it today.
OP suffered no ill affects for not having said item.
What has changed
The product?,
Ops Health?
No, nothing has changed, apart from Ops perception of the product.
And here lies the problem with all < … insert cause here … > high horse heroes. They are willing to confide in your comforts when invited round, but insist you make efforts to appease them. Alas, when you guest with them, do they reciprocate your needs.. In this life we sometimes have to endure things we do not like to do, or have feelings for. I do not like heights, have bad eyesight, but must not show fear to those I am trusted to keep, teach and bring on. I hate tomato sauce, but have to endure said on hot dogs, because they are made for me, whether I am absolutely sodden or not.
Still, I have traipsed around many a place because the ethics, menu has been incorrect. Me I do care, but the life restriction, is not on others, but the , … insert cause here …> holder.
But the restriction is their choice, alone. Should this restriction be placed on others is another debate.0 -

Why? Do you consider it OK to consume some bits of animal but not others?loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
Is it a free vending machine or do you have to pay for the drink yourself? The man without a signature.0

If I was in your position OP, I would hit the company where it hurts - in the pocket!
Refuse to use the vending machine until they see sense.0 -

Oh come on, The OP doesn't even know how to start proceedings to sue a company, OP would get laughed out of any court room and probably get charged for wasting time.0
