Partner booked holiday 18 hours ago, cant go, not able to cancel?

My partner booked a holiday last night online, paid using her bank card, and informed me this morning. We are unable to go, and so she went away to cancel it.
The travel company have stated that they require a £113 fee for each person booked on the holiday. Can they do this, or is it classed as a contract with a 7/14 day cooling off period?

normally travel products are excluded from cooling off periods, usually due to the type of service being offerred.
what have you booked, who have you booked it through, and when were you supposed to be going?I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. However I will help with what i can.0 -
Hi
If you have booked a holiday to depart within 12 weeks your more than likely unable to cancel
Its depends on how the holiday was booked though
If you have booked it seperate and the flights are a low cost carrier then your not gonna stand a chance of getting a refund. you may be able to change the dates
You will have to give us exact details of the holiday

I believe it is a flights, transfers and accomodation package, so covered under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992, and the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999.
It was to Portugal, through LowCostHolidays, in March 2011.0 -

Lowcostholidays - according to their website - don't do package holidays:At lowcostholidays.com we don't believe in package holidays, instead we tailor each of our cheap holidays to your needs.
How much deposit did your partner pay?
Do you know what the £113 per person is for?0 -

Highly unlikely, credit card maxed out, overdraft used in full, final demands received from debt collectors for payments of which I am not even liable...
The website states: If you cancel your product with more than 70 days remaining, the administration fee which you will be charged is deposit only (if you have paid a deposit).
She paid it all, in full. No mention of any deposit. No Regulations governing this at all? Should I contact ATOL, ABTA or IATA?0 -

She paid £1000 altogether.
We have no idea what the £133 is for.
The booking summary shows flight details, flight baggage, accomodation details, transfers and insurance on the same receipt... is this not a package as they use seperate agents? Isnt that what you would get at any travel agents in a package holiday?0
