Thanks Beccie - the work stuff got sorted in the end but not before a whole lot of stress, very late night and a few boughts of tears but all is well now. Think to be honest I will head a little early today too - kind of a treat for finishing it all and while things are a little quieter!
i had a lovely weekend with family, though did go a little over budget
Have redone my spreadsheets as it is the start of the month, looking OK at the minute but am waiting for a lot of money to come in from work and then hopefully get back on track. I also have my review this week and am hoping for a payrise so fingers crossed!
have a few bits on ebay - 1 with a few bids. Must try to get a few other things on this week!New surname New start!

another min payment out today so one step closer to egtting rid!
Have updated my sig as I have decided to target my MINT CC - its not my highest interest but the lowest balance adn I feel that if I work really hard and target it, I could have it gone by the end of the year - just leaving 2!! I know the snowball says to do it the other way round but I really feel like I need a bit of a boost so figure if I can get rid of one it might help spur me on!
On a good note, I got the check out report from my last rental and there are no issues listed so fingers crossed my Ex landlard actions that soon so I can get my deposit back - it will help massively! Though I just found out that he can have up to 6 weeks to action it!!!
Also waiting on work paying expenses....always waiting for them to pay expenses it feels!
Also have a pay review tomorrow so fingers crossed!!!!New surname New start!

Hope that the deposit comes back to you soon.
We've just recently moved as well and got ours back - but the wait is always stressful!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
thanks beccie - i don't know why they can't make the process quicker. It is so frustrating!
I think i will give the old landlord until the end of the week - that way they will have had the report fro a week - and then gently remind them! would really help a lot to get it back soon - and of course it gets sent as a chq so need to wait for that to clear too!!New surname New start!

I hope you get your deposit back in less than 6 weeks, that's awful! It's good that there's been no issues though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

thanks jwil - i couldn't believe they have up to 6 weeks - talk about taking the !!!!!!!
Had a look at my spreadsheets and such last night as I couldn't understand why the last few weeks have been such a struggle - turns out that between deposit and CT rebate and expenses in work I am owed over £2500!!!! no wonder things are difficult!
At least it means when it all come back (which should be by the end of the month) I can pay off some bills - CT due but don't have the money at the minute! and then hopefully clear or very nearly clear my Mint card!!!
No payments towards cards todaybut do have a few things on ebay finsihing today and so far have bids of about £20
when it coems in its going straight off a card!

Hope you get your cash back soon, that is a huge amount to be short of, so yes, no wonder you have been struggling!
Good luck with the ebay sales, hope you get some good last minute bids! I'm selling about £10 worth of stuff at the moment, hoping to get some more listed tomorrow."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". thanks jwil - it did make me feel a bit better to had a solid reason for struggling - not jsut my stupidity!
Having a slightly betetr day today. I got my contract extended yesterday and a small pay rise so between that and finsihing paying off my student loan, from Nov ay I should be about £200 a month better off
Still no payment towards debt today but my ebay stuff made £34 yesterday so as soon as that hits the bank account I can send it straight towards a CC.New surname New start!

That's good news about the contract being extended, and yay to the extra £200 per month once your student loan has gone, that will presumably make a huge difference.
Well done on the ebay sales!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
