Hi All,
Decided it was time to start a diary and try and keep on track.
i have made some really good changes so far this year, firsty acknowledging I have debt and need to do something about it! and secondly knocking abut £2K off.
At the minute I am struggling a bit keeping on track so decided to write it all down and share with you lovely people in an aim to keep going.
As soon as I get internet in the new house I will get ebaying etc but for now its surveys surveys surveys! have seen OHs xmas present on ebay shop so am aiming to get enough money together from ebay and surveys into my paypa account so that I can get his present.
have done a big shop so will only need bread and milk over the next while and plan to start by not buying stuff I don't need!
Hope everyone is well.

Morning all.
Well I am having a slightly better day today - work finaly paid me some of the money that they owe me and I got a few more boxes unpacked in the new place.
Have also finished a couple of cosmetic bits - for anyone that hasn't seen there is a thread on using up toiletries before buying more - It is really great. I have a stash of stuff and now starting to use things up really shows that i have enough and don't need to buy more just because it is on offer - also creates a bit more room in the house.
Did a bit of batch cooking last night and put a few dinners in the freezer.
Am off to do a few surveys that have arrived in my inbox - here's hoping I qualify!New surname New start!

Morning all.
Well sent another small payment to Mint CC today - this is my next target to clear. Although Its isn't the highest interest rate, it is the lowest balance and I really feel that I need to clear it - bit of motivation type thing. So another £5 sent there today - see the Payment A Day PAD thread if you haven't yet - basically we all pay something everyday - even if its 1p, and that way each day we are moving closer to being debt free - its actually really addictive! (for me it also means there si a little less money in my account to spend on rubbish!)
Am looking forward to the weekend. We are meeting up with friends, staying in and cooking though as this will be cheaper.
Have woken up with a stinking cold this morning - fingers crossed I can get rid of it over the weekend!New surname New start!

Good luck with the debtbusting Minnime, you've done really well so far. Hope your cold is better now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

sessi and Jwil - thanks for your support - these boards are great and I am finding that even by coming on and posting I am kinda getting it out of my head if that makes sense!!
Had a pretty good weekend and spent less than £20 which is great! Sent another small payment to Mint Cc this morning - i can't wait for this one to be gone!
Cleaned the old flat yesterday getting ready to hand keys back tomorrow and hopefully secure the deposite back! The only thing i can see stopping me is a very small mark I have made on the carpet in the living room. Will try again this evening to get rid of it but the Vax hasn't worked so farhopethey can't take too much off me for it!
Also got a few things on ebay at the weekend so fingers crossed for lots of bids!New surname New start!

Hope the mark on the carpet doesn't cause you problems. The best carpet cleaner I've ever used was from Poundland. It was a mousse, but I can't remember the name (I'd never heard of it before, it was in a big aerosol can). It really picked up the stains!
Good luck with the ebay sales, I relisted a load yesterday too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks JWIL - I got most of it out, to be honest I think its only really noticable becuase I know where I'm looking for it - If that makes sense.
Got the rest of the flat sorted - will be glad to see the backl of it and get my deposit back!
Got 4 christmas presents yesterday! seriously happy, it only leaves me with 6 to buy and some stocking fillersAND for the first time in I don't know how long I didn't need to pay for them on vredit card! I have been putting money made through mystery shopping and surveys and a little extra away every month so have money in a websaver to pay for xmas presents (mind you after yesterday it is a little empty looking!).
Hope everyone has a great day - i'm off to do some surveys!New surname New start!
