I dropped 4000 leaflets for mailbox nationwide. [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] I both emailed and posted my paperwork including my bank details, two days earlier than it asked me to send it by! I called to make sure the paperwork was there, "Yes" was the response, and that I will be paid before xmas eve!! Its now been 5 weeks since I sent it all to them.......... Looks like its here we go for me then! Will chase them in the new year, keep you posted. This kind of thing really takes the P, If I dont get paid in the first week of January then I'll file a small claims case against them :D see how they like that for Justice, they get to pay the court costs too then, its worth the initial payment of the court fee just to know they'l get lumbered with it in the end!! :D [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]:rotfl:
Good luck with making them pay !!
  • Im going to write to Rogue traders about them, I suggest you do the same if you dont get paid, id encourage everyone who has been ignored by them to do the same:

I mean i want extra cash but that is ridiculous you get more delivering the local papers.

Just got an email from these offering work in my area and despite some doubts your posts have put in my mind, im desperate for extra cash so just wandering how long did it take to deliver the leaflets?
Im thinking of taking the job involving 3000 leaflets.
  • I was told my delivery would take 16 hours but I'm already over that and only about 70% done. My leaflets were also delivered about 5 days late after a lot of persuading and chasing up! However, for me, it was still worth it because it's the only job opportunity I've had over the summer. As I write, I'm about to leave the house to continue the delivery. I'll post here again to say how the payment went...

I've done work for nationwide before and they do need chasing from time to time. Very likely a case of they don't pay you unless they get paid by their client.

As many on here have found leaflet dropping is not as easy as it sounds. You must before you take on a job, check the terrain of the area you covering. Google streetview is a good tool for this. Detached houses on a steep slope with 150ft drives on a hot day take a lot longer than communal post boxes in a block of flats. Houses on new estates with letter box brushes will slow you down as well, if you are doing your job properly.

I have a monthly round of a 1000 which takes around 9 hrs to do which works out at just minimum wage level, but I have across a number of east European people on my travels who get about £15 - 20 / 1000!!. The average rate in my area is around £20-25/1000

Back to nationwide they advertise on the job centre site from time to time so you should achieve min wage on those jobs.
  • Just to share my similarly bad experience while working with Mailbox Nationwide. I finished delivering all leaflets supplied on 26. July and got payment via BACS last Friday, which was the 30. September. The company seemed dodgy right from the start, I received far too few leaflets and couldn’t cover all the area, I was told I will receive the additional amount that I requested but they never arrived. They also didn’t think of telling me that, I had to phone them several times to find out. I then sent the paperwork asap and expected payment after one month which would’ve been 9. September but of course it wasn’t there. In the meanwhile I have called 12 times their hotline, they always have excuses and conflicting answers, three times they said that they have already sent the payment, another two times that it was scheduled but certainly there was a lot of lying going on. I then sent them an official complaint letter where I not only complained about the unreasonable delay of my payment but also requested compensation for my bank charges which occurred as I expected the payment to be in my account (since they already had paid – what lies!!) and had DD going out. Three days after that letter I received my payment. So my advice would be to press on and request in all possible ways what is rightfully your money, especially given the hard work and many many hours it takes to deliver all those leaflets for a ridiculously little money, not anywhere near nat. min. Hope this can be of any help to somebody.
