  • I also received today 24th Sept 10 a cheque for two outstanding invoices for work done, took eight weeks to pay, looks to be the going lenght of time now to pay, from my investigations talking to the company boss, they have to first get the money in from customers of leaflets for work done, before they can pay us folks, its normal practise this is how firms work, there slow to pay out in the first place,so then we folks are at the end in pecking order lol,but do bear with the company they will pay, they have so far and the cheques will clear as well no worry there, from what ive been told by the boss is leaflet work is slowing down alot, its all mostly down to local and county councils cutting back on leaflet work that mailbox and others do its a cut throat buisness as well,as we all know what the goverment is doing by way of cuts, this filters all the way down to us,sign of the times now. With mailbox nationwide i can tell you all that they have had to cut jobs as well like other companys have to do when things get tough, there is only two people left running the company now,the lady boss and a guy who does the pay, thats it,so you see there doing there best with only two of them now,so much to do for them with running the buiness and payments to sort out to,and they cover the whole country,so there lots n lots of people to deal with, not just cheques out to do,and only some maney working hours in a day to,so please bear with them and understand from where they are coming from and how life is in the leaflet marketing now,the problems started soon after june 10 with the goverment starting to cut back, councils have had there orders to do like wise,so its affecting mailbox nationwide and other like them as well so told.so just please bear in mind what ive said when emailing and or ringing the company okay, cheques are running around 8 to 9 weeks to pay okay, thats how it is now, some people will not do any more work again cos of the lenght of time taken to pay, understandable, but then other folks dont mind waiting, but payment does come that i can tell you,but one has to wait okay,i would ask as well be polite with the company when emailing and or ringing them there doing there best and only human to,they are under very difficult times we live in now with leaflet distributions, and there is lots of leaflet companys all trying to grap what little work there is out there to do now,and of course prices and sadly payments go down to to compete.

Hope this helps to explain fully as to whats going on at mailbox nationwide these days, some will again do more work, but lots wont now cos of the long wait for payment, but thats how its going to be now,and will be that same for most if not all leaflet buinesses.

Thank You and i hope this helps you folks out.

I dont see why last year Mailbox Nationwide paid me just after 4 weeks and now this year its 8 weeks for other people? And its a convenient coincidence that they seem to pay up after being chased, rather than asap.

  • whilst i appreciate any probs they may have, if they say they are gonna pay in 4 weeks then that is what they should do.

  • Glad to know I wasn't the only one with problems!

I even 'resigned' on their website to see if they had lost my profile....not a sausage!

Still, for minimum wage I can always go back to Domino's, ten times more interesting!

I'm still waiting on payment from 8 weeks ago.

Then this afternoon I had an email offering me another job! Have emailed back and asked why I would want to take on another job when they still haven't paid me for the last one?!

Lets see what I get back from that.
