  • Hi Bluejeans53

I've had a busy day since I was onhere this morning. Picked my young nephew up from school then cooked a family dinner. Bought a large chicken and did a roast so will have to make the chicken last for another meal or two!!

I really, really should lose weight because I feel that the extra weight is making me old!! Stiff knees, achy back and I can't wear nice clothes. I just don't know where to start with losing weight there's always a reason to start on Monday!!!

    Good luck

  • Hiya, just in off night-shift

Hiya PBH, I sure know where you are coming from. My weight issues also interfere with my health, gammy knee and breathlessness. I am sure my overspending/eating are linked. Yes its always Monday with me too. If you would like to PM me at any time about weight issues, please feel free, its a sensitive issue. I am hoping that facing my debts and money issues will roll over and assist me to deal with my weight issue.

Chicken, yes lots you can do with that, how many do you feed at home, there is only two of us here and I can eat at work for free for the next 3 days. had my breakfast before leaving work this morning.

I have a decision to make. I work nights working 4 on and 4 off. Lady who I alternate with is having 2 weeks holidays in October, which means 8 night to cover, I would usual cover 4, 2 extra each week. BUT id I cover her first 4 off this would give an extra £300 in my next pay. My payday loan is £500 so I should be able to clear it, with some ingenious cut backs else where too. But this means I will have to do 12 nights in a row . it is not hard work but very very responsible.

  • Not a lot happening being on night-shift.

No mail yesterday. Sent off a letter to ScotCall offering £10 per month.

Decided to work the 12 shifts in a row, its a small price to pay to get £300 extra towards my £500 payday loan.

Asda today for a biggish shop, but going to plan a list, no just grabbing anything off the shelfs.

  • Hiya, yesterday was my first trip to Asda since starting this thread.
bill came to £40 :j, usually £60-70

Did not go round the George section :j
Did not go into the cafe:j
Bought a bottle of vodka for £12, which will last us a month, usually spent £1o on two bottles of wine per week. With vodka I may have one or to on my nights of with tonic or coke. Wine I would drink best part of a £5 bottle a night thats just on a couple of my nights off, not everyone) so hopefully that be a saving of £28 a month.

Did some planning and best part of my food in for the week, just need a few bits and bobs>

    No mail Friday or Saturday.

  • I expect you have cut back on your personal treats. I recommend the library for free "me time" with expensive magazines and it is a good place for a sit down mid-shopping trip without having to buy anything.
  • Love your diary Bluejeans, I have now added you to my favourites and will enjoy your updates, good luck with your debtbusting.
