Watch the bank charges mount up for that DD and returned cheque it does depend who you Bank with most people knock Santander but I have twice got charges reversed with them so its worth a go.
The good thing to remember is not to borrow more money to pay off what you already owe most posters on here advise to work through what you have got Creditors will try every trick in the book to get their money so you have to be as savvy as them I know the Horsey bank wanted to consolidate my debt with my OH and secure it on the house but they would only lend enough to cover their debt and not my other creditors thats when I came here and started to carve my own path out of this mess with the help of all the lovely DFW out there and I have ended up not paying any interest and paying off slowly but surely
my pile of debt

I do realize about the bank charges racking up but I have no other way around it. You sound as if you are well sorted about who and where and what they re likely to get up to. I am reading and posting as much as I can, so i can go about ti the right way, so i am not paying anything I do n ot need to. Do not mean not paying my debt. Posted separately about ScotCall debt, its no good keep shredding, it will not go away.

So cheeky of bank to give you alone secure it on your home but just for their money. Well done you for forging your own way through

I have subscribed to my own thread so I just there and pick it up, if it drops down the board that is ok or if it is moved to Diarys by whoever moves stuff around thats ok too.

I have just done such a small thing but it made me feel so relieved. I answered my door. I have been avoiding this, I have been expecting the rent people at my door. Now I have sorted that, knew it was not them, so answered it. It is just crazy the things I have put myself through, all it took was a phone call and they were so helpful. All these years of wasting money has given me nothing but stress and pain.

Its good to talk Im no way an expert and I have only done most things by posting on here you can learn so much I used to dred the doorbell going and hung around to catch the postman I too burnt everything but I now have huge files for each of my creditors and I keep copies of everthing I send to them I never ring them so dont get loads of telephone calls sent letters from the forum telling them all to stop harrassing me as i said before only Capital One are muppets but I dont have sleepless nights over it any more im too shattered anyway doing all that walking so stay on top dont be bullied by the Rent people or the Banks and enjoy the rest of your day

Thankyou for popping in, I have a long way to go but yes I feel more positive and thats just since yesterday. This site has taught me so much. Shelter, food and warmth first, then debt that can land you in the clinker, the rest can wait for a while till you get sorted.

I do hope you stay with us and keep us posted. I have subscribed to your Thread. Also would like to say. My husband new nothing of my debt at all and he found out about it (long story) he went ape for about and hour, then he was totally with me. I do hope you are able to tell your girlfriend about this. Its not at all easy to tell I dint but once he found out, it was like having the weight of th e world took off me. Now I am able to say no we cant afford it, not pleasant but it better than robbing peter to pay Paul to do it. I am still robbing peter to pay Paul but at least its to pays bills and not just waste.

I am in the North East, I know its amazing, we usually get the worst of what the weather man has on offer.

Keep up your thread, even it just to pop in and say Hiya and have a moan, I find it so therapeutic and when i go to waste money now, I think of all the people who have made the effort to help me when i asked for it, makes me plod on.
