Thanks Bella, food cupboard is OK, although we may eat lots of jam! I'm looking at the cherry tomato thread as well as the tomato 'jam' might be a good one to see us through too!
Spendless, it cost £60, that was £30 per chimney, which included uninstalling our little solid fuel stove, cleaning the chimney and replacing it all just so (including lighting a little test fire to check re: smoke etc). There are probably other cheaper ones about, but this one's good and thorough, leaves the place very clean and was highly recommended. I only had £40 as I thought he was only going to do the open fireplace and just survey the other fireplace (he'd said that's what he'd do). But because having a good look at it meant that he had to uninstall it, he just did it whilst he was there! Luckily we scraped together the other £20 from different pots around the house (pays to be an OS squirrel)! Hope you find a good one!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hi Betterlife, :wave:as per my reply to Spendless. Mind you,if your landlord is paying, make sure he gets a good one who will leave the place clean, rather than the cheapest around!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Hello debtfree: £10 electric's a bit of a worry, appliances eat so much juice - do you have a gas cooker so at least the cooking won't eat into it (no puns intended)!?Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I have £8.68 and £1.50 of luncheon vouchers, luckily I picked up 5kg of desiree spuds for 78p, reduced at Tesco tonight. I suspect there will be a lot of mash/jacket spuds in the coming days! :rotfl:
My storecupboard is ok and I have a few portions of frozen soup, all I'll really need to buy is milk and fresh fruit for the kids.
I actually don't mind being skint (for a few days) as at least I don't have to worry about overspending - can't spend what we don't have!0 -
Hi Habbiboo
I've merged this with the daily chat thread where Old Stylers muse and chat about their Old Style life. I'm sure you will be made very welcome
Good luck until the end of the month

NPM I've only just seen your post poor Noah, these schools just make my blood boil sometimes..no offence meant to any of the teaching/support staff on here its just it's SO hard seeing our gorgeous kids all go through this..
As you know my DS3 reached crisis point at the age Noah is now,it may be time for them to totally reassess how they are going to help him now he's getting older?
I called an emergency meeting with the LEA in the end have you a named person there you deal with? May be worth a chat with him/her or the Parent Partnership if you have a local one..
Sending lots of hugs for you all XXX0
