  • Afternoon my lovelies.

Been to Forest School this morning which went well until DS had meltdown because he wasn't at the front running across the local senior school's playing fields on the way back (we have to cross their property to get to local woods and the kids are allowed to race across the grass). So that just set him up nicely for the walk back to school, getting changed out of his waterproofs, getting changed into his uniform (they all wear old clothes whilst in the woods) and finally me having to go home. In the end one of the teachers had to take him into the class room because he wouldn't stop crying and let me leave. So feel a bit :( now. I am sure he's fine now but I wish I knew how to get past this obsession about being first all the time. Might try the ASD thread for some suggestions because reasoning with him has no effect at all.

Anyway DD is asleep so I am just having a quick surf before I put the vac round and get some dusting done before school run starts again.
Weather is lovely here so hope to get the washing on the line before I have to head out again.
Tea tonight is a makeshift as I have tap class :)

Had my Sainsbury shopping deliver about 9.40pm last night - the poor bloke that delivered it had been working since 8am and had done 36 deliveries that day  We were the last, fortunately for him.

NPM - Hugs for you and Noah, poor little sausage. Hope the buddy system works out and that they keep that nasty little tyke away from your son xxx Hope the BD b*ggers off for you xx

Celyn - WOW those pics are amazing :D

adelight - sorry you're feeling fed up re job hunting. Crossing my fingers something crops up soon - I do think sometimes have more experience and qualifications works against you sometimes. I remember when I left college and I was applying for junior post room gopher roles all they kept telling me was "oh you're over qualified" - why because I had 3 A level? I couldn't even use a photocopier how was I over qualified.........sorry rant over :o I just feel your pain xx

mrsmotivated - welcome to the Daily thread :D

jackieg - hope you're holding up OK hun x

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

  • Hi Guys!

Havent read all the thread so apologies if Ive missed anything major.

I am typing this in bed as my health has been quite poor for the past 48hrs. GP wanted me to go into hospital but was adament (sp) that I was staying put! Feeling very fed up today and a little down.

The fencing was finished Monday and we have the new old style cast iron school rads being put in tomorrow. Found a lovely plumber on MyHammer! We have used 3 tradesmen from there now and all have been great and very efficient.

Anyway, going to try and have a snooze.

    Take care

    Hi all.

*rounds up BDs and harnesses them to dog sled* MUSH you lot!:D

Celyn many thanks for posting the photos - absolutely breathtaking. If ever my health lets up, I really, really would like to visit Iceland. Well, I can dream......:o

NPM Omg, poor Noah - I tried to kill myself when I was 8 yrs old, so your post sort of resonated with me. *sigh* some kids can be so spiteful. Let's hope the buddy system helps.

I'm still full of a cold, and so thankful that I did a hanky wash yesterday!

2nd half of the Shepherd Spy tonight for dins, and we can have some carrot'n'orange cake by way of pud, so that's easy - good thing, as Mr LW is going to be late tonight as there's a procedure got to be done when all the users have logged off for the day.

Mabon (Autumn Equinox) tomorrow, so I might not get online, as Mr LW's got a day's annual leave.;) So I'll wish you all Mabon Blessings now.:)

    Hi everyone,

Hugs to PP, JackieG and NPM. Hope you all feel better soon.

NPM and Bitsy, I'm so sorry things are hard at the moment, I hope things improve especially for Noah at school.

Not a lot OS going on chez snoozer, I've managed to put a load of washing on and load the dishwasher today, paid work has been taking over a bit (I used to get so cross when I was a SAHM when people suggested I didn't work). I've got about 6 months left to work and the way I'm feeling today I could leave tomorrow and not miss it one bit. I wonder if it's the fact that summer is coming to an end that is affecting so manypeople.

Pen-pin - Sorry your health has been bad. Hope the next fews days are better for you xx

  • Sorry to add to the miseries but I am feeling so . Had a back to work meeitng today which ended up in a discussion about whether I am fit for my job as I can't do kitchen woek which comprises of 7 hours of my 37.5 hours a week job. I feel the disability discrimination act being quoted. HR was there with my manger and said I can't do clinical work (I work in mental health) Meetballs!!!! How many clinical jobs involve washing up and prepping food for hours on the trot. I am so cross. I said 'should I start looking for another job then? ' and HR's replies was to look at the internal jobs bulletin, so that's a yes then. I am fuming. I have joined a union today (which I should have done ages ago but innocently didn't thinking i worked for a nice place) so hopefully they will be ableto fight my corner.

Hugs to all the poorlies and stresed out Mummies xxxxxxxxxxx
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

NPM chin up I hope little fellow gets a good buddy
Celyn fantastic pictures you have memories to last a life time

well chums I had my Kindle delivered this morning from Amazon and I can't wait to use it,at the moment being bandaged it means I have to wait until I get my new sleeve which my therapist told me should be a week tomorrow:j:j:j:jHe said he is pleased at the way the arm is reducing so even though its been a great nuisance I too can see its working well.NSD today as I still have quite a bit in the fridge to use up.
JackieG I hope you are feeling a wee bit brighter today dear, Black dogs are the pits and I can remember my old Mum who came from Langside saying to me as a little girl with the grumps 'get that black dog off your back this minute or he will eat you up'
i managed to get my washing done and dried out on the line today ,rain is forecast for tomorrow so at least its done for this week.My Dd will change the sheets and duvet covers for me at the weekend bless her.hope everyone else has had a good day.I'm off to make some dinner now I think it will be the last of my boxed salad and a jacket spud to ping in the microwave

  • Lamewolf have PM`d you.

Jellybaby do you work for NHS? They are not the most supportive in these circumstances unfortunately as myself and others on here have found:o Hope you get sorted and good on you for joining the union.....I did so myself last year when I had a lot of sickness and was getting hassle.

Have picked DS up from school and he has had a big classroom fight with another boy then had a meltdown as another tooth is loose and it unsettles him. He is having a tough week and is burning up so may be coming down with OHs cold.....would explain a lot as he often gets stressed and tics etc when he is coming down with something as he cant communicate it to us.

Bitsy...they are a complicated puzzle to work out our poor ASD children and just as you think you have it sussed something else crops up:cool: Give me a shout if I can help:p
  • Evening all
DD2's car has died, she only has 8 more evenings to work & then she's on Maternity leave, so I've offered to take her to work at 5 each evening, fortunately DS has volunteered to pick her up when she finishes.
Thewashing was dry when I got home, so I'm glad I'd hung it out.
I need to make banana bread this evening as we have a cake sale on Friday at work in aid of McMillan & I won't have time tomorrow what with giving DD2 a lift & babysitting for DD1.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Celyn, :T beautiful photos xx

DD is still not too good, might have to keep her off tomorrow too, I dont like her missing this much school, but she feels very weak, and is coughing and sneezing, and has terrible ear ache, actually reading that back there is no way she can go to school tomorrow, they have an inset day Friday, so she will have the whole weekend to recover.

Butterfly, thanks hun if her ear is still bad tomorrow I will phone the GP xx

    Have good evenings all xx
