    System Restore is not the factory restore .It merely restores the current windows system to a copy from an earlier boot of this current windows install .
    One can wipe/delete all System Restore points and reboot and then set a new System Restore point .

    Factory Restore is usually on a seperate small partition often hidden . Wipes all data on the C drive and resets as the machine left the factory .
