Hi
Read about ccleaner yourself at the piriform website.
Download it from there.

system restore has been suspended because of disk space. Thanks x
If you have System Restore switched on, and it has been for a number of years, your PC may have merely filled itself with the data for restore points.
Have you ever restored your system from any of these restore points? How likely is it that you would want to restore to a point, say, two years ago?
Go to Start menu, Help & Support, and search within Help for 'System Restore' - look for Pick a Task, and click on 'Allocate more disk space for system restore' - follow the first steps here, and this should show you how much space is currently allocated to system restore. You can choose either to reduce this amount of disk space, or switch System Restore off altogether.0 -

There's only a benefit to this if you delete the original files from your C: Drive, and empty Recycle Bin after you're done.
You know exactly what you're moving/deleting, in terms of file type?
If you open My Computer, what drives do you have in addition to your C: drive?0 -
As Donnie posted #6 get windirstat - this is a free, simple prog that will show you in an easy to understand way what is filling up your pc's h/drive - http://sourceforge.net/projects/windirstat/0

have you got a d drive, ( hard disk rather than a dvd drive)?
transferring to usb isn't a backup, you need at least 2 copies on different media to backup.
With that amount of data, an external usb drive is the easiest solution for backup, but not as cheap as dvd's!!
