WOW.. What at wait, Id urge you to go to the high court if you have the funds aready and awaiting... its all over in a day !

When you say you and your OH.. Was it a business that you have had, or is it personal insolvency that you will be filing for. Reason I ask is we were going for peoronal and we halso had a business together (a pub)... We were told to apply for partnership bankruptcy. means we can do it all together and there is only one fee...

Hi Mike - great club you got going here :) Would like to join if possible. We're going for a personal insolvency - no business.

Can we just get up and go to the High Court or do we need to make an appointment?

  • Mike, you've given some invaluable advice here and I take my hat off to you mate. You're now embarking on a very different journey. it's nowhere as easy as everyone here might think. Sure the debts have gone but there are a lot more issues than you could imagine. Can I just say to anyone thinking of BR please take professional advice first. The judge will probs ask and if not the OR certainly will. Try every other avenue first. if you want first hand experience try http://www.debtquestions.co.uk/debt_forum/ OR's post here as do DC's

BR is not easy. Good luck all I know how it feels

BR is definatley not easy.... Especially the few weeks before court !! Things can only get better mind.

A long road to follow.. But its for the best if you need it.

That link you posted is great, I have been using that for some time. Invaluable advice.

    Cheers

  • hi everyone hope you are all well (in physical sense if not in mental)

just to give you an update from our B.. the OR has now got in touch and has sent through two of the credit card statements wanting to knoe were the money went that we took off the cards ( oh had started new job and was between pays so we lived off cash advances this was way before we even did a dmp ) so we have had to go back to our old bank and ask for statements for this time so we can prove where it went ( and yes we do have every penny accounted for) so be aware if you have taken any cash off your cc's the OR will want to know where it went. On a lighter note he wasn't even interested on the money spent on purchases.

will be ok if i offload some about my mother in law and our car?
