Hi Rog and Sandra,
Thankyou for replying so quickly.
I have read through all the posts this afternoon and just doing that made me feel better.
I felt quite alone this morning, your replies have made me feel a little less so.
Thanks,
Goldy. xxx0 -

Right now I am in a mess, I am depressed and the whole thing makes my medical condition worse.
may I offer some cat-loving hugs of sympathy to you - I know just how you feel.
the main cause of my br is my ill health and inability to work, and money worries most certainly do not help
at least you're moving in the right direction and hopefully before the month is out things will be a lot easier for you... and you'll have your snazzy new car on its way to cheer you up (that so sounds contradictory doesnt it, but I know we're talking about motability here - I think perhaps if my DLA gets upgraded this time (I get no care component just hight mobility), I may go the motability car route too)
and please don't be too down and depressed, already today you have helped me so much and your posts are always so upbeat and positive sounding - if you can keep me going, the least I can do is offer to help you to keep smiling too, so the offer is there, you know where to pm meBCSC # 29 - BRD 29/11/06ED 31/08/07 phew!

Hello!
Well, for the moment all I have to live on is the DLA , which is £59.95 per week - I get the mobility and the care.
The powers that be have not decided if I can have Incapacity Benefit yet.
It is very easy to slip into depression, although I do try not to!
Have you got your Date yet?0 -

hi sandra i agree its easy to get into the depression than it is to get out of it just like debt i guess lol
hope your feeling better and like others say u help people alot so that can cheer you up a bit .
there is nothing worse than waiting for a decision on benefits . i didnt know for along time but did u know somebody can get carers allowance for u . i get it for my son but i dont recieve the cash as i get incapacity benefit and its higher than the carers allowance as it is means tested but it i qualify for the underlying entitlement . if that makes sense.
hope u feel better soon0 -
i just managed to cut my phone from £22 to £16 amonth even though its been costing me nearer 50 with lots of 0870 numbers as of late but i swear after tomorrow night no more phone calls other than landline numbers !!
my broadband will reduce too in a couple of months from £17.99 to £5 a month
gas and electric will reduce by 3% p.a next month too not great but the right direction
got myself a simcard that gives free txts so that will save me some cash too
managed to do a 2 week shop for £60 today may need some fresh things over next 2 weeks but that is a hell of a reduction for us .0 -

Just a small tip milly - next time you need to ring an 0870 number (which can earn the owner up to 6p a minute of your money) just check the number on https://www.saynoto0870.comI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
