  • I have just been to the insolvency site to check (again!!) my Statement of Affairs and found it was all at 0% completion - I nearly had a heart attack!

Found it, though, fortunately! Phew! That form took me the best part of two weeks to complete.

Just a small question - I take it that once you click the submit button and have printed off one copy of the forms that is all I need? Does anybody know who has gone voluntarily bankrupt?
  • Hi Sandra ,

I was told just to print one set off for the court .

Car maintenance, Xmas, birthdays etc, clothes.

That's just off the top of my head. Do you have any extra expenses due to your disability?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Hi Sandra,

The form that the OR has sent me asks for the following breakdown:

Please enter amounts of monthly household income

Your usual take-home pay (including overtime, commission and bonuse)
The amount your partner contributes each month to th household expenses
    Child benefit(s)
    Other benefit(s)
    Pension income
Contribution made by other adults in your household
    Other income (please give details)

    Total Income

    Part 4 Outgoings

Please enter amounts of monthly household expenses

    Mortgage payments/Rent (delete as applicable)
    Council Tax
    Heating and Lighting
    Water
    Telephone
    Housekeeping
    Essential travel expenses

    Total monthly outgoings

    Hope that's of some use.

  • I have no other income and no other outgoings!

In December I will be getting a car with automatic transmission from Motability, which will lose me the car insurance payment, and I lose £43.45 per week from my income on that.

I literally cannot afford to pay for anything else.

I got rid of my mobile phone, downgraded my membership for swimming, simply because I couldn't afford to pay for it.

I have no savings, my private pension is worth about £5000, that's it, nothing else to declare.

My car has not been serviced since I bought it 07/05 because I can't afford to pay for it. The car is going in the bankruptcy anyway.

I only have two people to buy birthday and Christmas presents for.

Clothes? I don't think I will ever be able to buy any ever again the way I look at it!

I know all this sounds glib but I am really upset about the whole thing. Up until May of this year I was earning over £23000 a year. That went downhill due to being unwell, culminating in being signed off sick on 13th October to state benefits - which they are being very slow at paying me. Right now I don't even know if they are going to pay me any SB at all.

Have had to get the £475 together to pay for BR because I don't know - until 17th November - if they will waive the £150 court fee.

Right now I am in a mess, I am depressed and the whole thing makes my medical condition worse.
