I have my telephone interview with the OR on Monday morning. I've read all the leaflets, but still not sure what to expect!
I haven't had to fill in any forms really, just sign documents for the OR - no questionnaire to fill in - is this normal?
Also still waiting to find out if I have a bank account with Barclays - I get paid soon, and as yet don't have an account to pay into!
Mike - hope all goes well on Monday, it really is a relief to get it all over and done with - I'm sure you'll feel much less stressed come Monday evening! It's a big step, but so worth taking:j0 -
rog2 wrote:Hi Mike - At first glance it does look a bit daunting - there is a 45 page form, asking for specific details on debts, property, bank accounts, credit cards, income etcetera - I think it is probably just a bit more in-depth than the form that you filled in with your application. As a point of interest, I also filled in the same form, even though I was not petitioning for my own bankruptcy, and was not even asked for any info at court - so, possibly, you may not have to do this one.
There is also an IPO (Income Payments Order) questionnaire and, beleive it or not, two different Insolvency Service 'Customer Service surveys' - did the hangman ask his 'customers' to give their views on the level of customer service he provided just prior to their dispatch?
Seriously, though, I think the forms are just to confirm ALL your details, debts and assetts, so that OR can decide on how best to proceed.
Cool.. Doesnt sound too daunting then.
As said, at least its all in the pipeline now eh.
Cuistomer service ! Bah !! Mind you, Im happy to give anyone 4 stars for taking away 130k+ debt......
Last day in work tonight, then the weekend off !! hurray.. Im not gonna dwell on Monday, Ive done enough of that, its simply now a formality. Gona drink lots of wine and try and finish my kitchen.. Ive been running round today like a blue arsed fly trying to get all the stuff I need so it doesnt appear like im spending the family bank balance after Bday !0 -

can I ask where you saw the bit about Child benefit and Child taxcredit as Ive put them on my OHs form (even though they in my name and OH that going bankrupt ) as on the form they want to know any benefits and it says what partner contributes to household then you have to add them all up to give household income. Just wondered whether I now don't need to put them on there?
thanks

Generally they don't count benefits of any kind in with any prospective IPA payments.
If you do put them on the form they will just be ignored.0 -

Hi Chilli, I think that the reason that I received a form to fill in was that I was declared br by one of my creditors (HMRC) rather than petitioning for my own br. Much of the information requested is similar to that which you would have put on your own form, anyway. One thing, though, I did have a 20 minute 'phone interview' with OR on Monday, when I had to give information regarding bank accounts and asetts, but she told me that I would be required to attend for a full interview.
I would ask OR about basic account with Barclays on Monday. There are two questions relating to benefits on the IPO (Income Payments Order) Questionaire in Part 3 - 'amounts of monthly family income' and these are counted in the Total Income figure, which you will need to declare to OR.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
