    Good luck on Monday Mike:beer:

I finally got my appointment with the OR - It's scheduled for next Thursday afternoon - fortunately I don't have to go to London again - they've given me an appointment in Bristol. The receiver rang me yesterday and I received the forms today. Looks like my weekend is taken up with form filling:eek:
I have been told to expect the meeting to last between 2 and 3 hours - I hope they provide a cup of tea:rolleyes:
At least I know where to come for help.
    Cheers to you all

It seems to me that you are trying to absolve all your family debt by one person going bankrupt. The OR will not accept this at all.

Those figures above cannot possibly be correct. Have commented beside them

At the end of the day you must be realistic. The £300 per month for food will not be accepted by the OR. I follow a lowfat diet and I don't spend £25 per week for one person.

Also you added "family" debts. If you are going singularly bankrupt I doubt that will be allowed.

Your husband's loan is your husband's loan, along with OH visa. You cannot add OH visa debt onto your own if it is in his name.

The £80 per month for petrol is excessive. I had 15 hospital appointments in two weeks, just last month, and it did not cost me £40 for the petrol and my hospital is 15 miles each way from my home.

£30 per month for BT and Broadband????

You said in a previous post that your car was on DLA, so why the car rental?

According to this your electric + gas charges for one month are £120???????
£60 per month for electric ? I don't think so. Not when you are claiming £30 per month as half of your gas bill!
I live in a four bedroomed house with an extension and my bills are nowhere near that, and the gas central heating is on all day and all night!

You have to tell the OR the truth. They deal with people every day. They know the current prices & charges for goods and services.

You have to be able to help yourself. That starts with the truth.

    Hi
can I ask where you saw the bit about Child benefit and Child taxcredit as Ive put them on my OHs form (even though they in my name and OH that going bankrupt ) as on the form they want to know any benefits and it says what partner contributes to household then you have to add them all up to give household income. Just wondered whether I now don't need to put them on there?
    thanks

I AM LOOKING TO BANKRUPT IN MY NAME ONLY

hi when my oh went bankrupt last year they done two different bugets they didnt touch my money as i had bills to pay and things in my name but i had to give my oh my details what he passed on to the or and like i say they didnt touch mine at all they just dione every thing in oh name so i wouldnt worry about joining bugets
the or will want to know what YOU get and what YOU have to pay and so long as your famley have bills to pay out of thier money they wouldnt touch it also they cant take money from any state benefits also i would put more down for food as my oh was allowed 90 per week to feed two adults and two kids under 16 so i would add more to your food bill and hide the weight watchers in the food bill
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing

Hi Mike - At first glance it does look a bit daunting - there is a 45 page form, asking for specific details on debts, property, bank accounts, credit cards, income etcetera - I think it is probably just a bit more in-depth than the form that you filled in with your application. As a point of interest, I also filled in the same form, even though I was not petitioning for my own bankruptcy, and was not even asked for any info at court - so, possibly, you may not have to do this one.
There is also an IPO (Income Payments Order) questionnaire and, beleive it or not, two different Insolvency Service 'Customer Service surveys' - did the hangman ask his 'customers' to give their views on the level of customer service he provided just prior to their dispatch?
Seriously, though, I think the forms are just to confirm ALL your details, debts and assetts, so that OR can decide on how best to proceed.
