the forums went down. I said it kept flashing and thought it was me.

I loved cars. I used to go to the car show every year. All that stopped because of ex. Now, can't because of DS, mind you he loves the sound of an engine. So maybe I can....
  • Oh my gosh, i turn my back for two seconds and you guys do cool cars - 1960's to the present day. It is all Greek to me but glad you are all happy. So glad MSE is back, minor hiccup, methinks. I reckon Martin Lewis pulled the plug out for a bit of a laugh. tee hee.

I actually won the prize for the best driver of the day. Got a photo somewhere. Well, had a photo. Have'nt a clue where its gone, in the move. Probably been thrown out.

Typical i can't locate the photo, or which website it was now. I'll have a look again, for you Aesop, another time. Maybe i should take you and your son for a spin. Then he'll know what a real car is like, lol

It was cool driving an old fashioned fire engine.

I'm away to bed now. Got an early start in the mornig. Have a good day tomorrow, everyone. Will look out that photo, Aesop

Thats one ambition i have'nt achieved yet. I've always wanted to drive a jag, the old fashioned ones, long and sleek.

If Jesus was born on Christmas Day which is always the 25th of December and died at Easter why isn't that always the same day too???? Never have understood that one!

Ooooh, missed lots of car talk.

My 1st car was a Mini, white with a black roof.

My Dad's first brand new car was a Cortina Mk1 Estate.

My sister once had a Morris Minor, I have never wanted one as I couldn't see out the windscreen due to me being a short ar*e and it having quite a curve.

The favourite car I have owned was probably my XR3.

Cars I would like to own: something old enough for the London to Brighton run, a Porsche 911 in Guardsman Red, something with running boards (Maybe this: 1931 Duesenberg Model J Derham Bodied Tourster!!!!), a Winnebago to travel the world in with one of those little cars sat on the back for running around in - none of this is going to happen without a significant lottery win :rotfl:

    Good morning Nohope and friends.

Easter - always on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. So, depending on where the full moons fall, it can be anywhere between 22 March and 24 April (or thereabouts). This year it is as late as it can be. There are theories that Jesus was actually born in either March or October time, depending on what bit of literature you read, and December 25th was only chosen by the early Chrisitian church so that it would coincide with a lot of midwinter festivals celebrated by other religions. That was their sneaky way of keeping the locals happy and getting them round to their way of thinking. Either way, around 2000 or so years ago, a chap was born who would have a big impact on all that knew him and many more after his time. Whether you subscribe to the rest of the theory (virgin birth, resurrecton after death etc) or not, the basic principles hold true for all faiths - treat others with kindness and respect, as you yourself would want to be treated.

Here endeth the lesson for today, back to the car talk if you like, but the Nargle has to get ready for work....keep well everyone and will call by again soon!
