OK now I'm going to show my age because I've never heard of Pogles Wood although I have seen the revamped series of both Andy Pandy and Bill and Ben as well as enduring death by BooBahs and Ninky Nonks. when grieving over anything, don't feel guilty about taking some time out to feel bad and wallow a bit - you need to do that to heal.
i still visit an old neighbour and for years, pulling onto their drive and seeing MY house looking so different and lived in by someone else was horrible. i still occasionally think about it but moreso because my neighbour was/is my closest 'friend' - only person that has stuck by me through everything. the house itself.....i don't feel the angst any more.
we'll get through it nohope - you know where i am if you need me:) xxx
cars... mot and tax due this month so i need to magic at least a couple of hundred quid from somewhere - and thats if the car passes!! i've developed another health problem too so i have been referred to a different hospital - really need that blooming car to stay on the road. i'll do what i can. thats all. (may get the crayons out and draw some of that money stuff later:cool:).
Thanks xxDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Hi to you all,
Nohope's thread seems to have been hijacked by a little group of us. Me and you both seem to have a bad day today Nohope.
I got home last night to find 3 seperate tax coding notices from the IR. What is it with the simplest of tasks and officialdom these days?
I must have received about 20 of these things since I was made redundant last year and they are always wrong.
They have issued a completely wrong tax code to my main employer and as we are paid weekly my wages today are £25 short of what they should be. On what I earn that is a very significant amount, I can tell you. They have set aside part of my allowance to an employer that I did 2 weeks temping for LAST SUMMER! !!!!!!...
So, I have got about £10 to feed myself for the week. I waited 25 mins on the phone yesterday to speak to the PAYE helpline and they have amended the code but I am still furious.
I am dreading the end of the tax year because I am sure I will have to fill out a tax return, there have been so many bungles.
I am also having a carp time in the office with the youngster that I work with. Crikey, I am looking up to see if there is a black cloud over me at the moment. If there isn't, there should be.... urghh
On a completely different note and bringing our chat up to date - I have got a bit of a crush on Iggle Piggle from the Night Garden and I also fancy myself as a bit of "Dora the explorer" - speaking Spanish and always on her travels... I wish!
Hugs to everyone

SA - If you are able to go to the job centre with a book and phone the tax office from there (it is free for you and you get to read a book while you wait)
When I phoned I got a very nice lady who filled in what was needed on the phone. OK, it didn't stop the computer sending out more PAYE rubbish, but I was cheered up since she knew what she was talking about and I got money back from them as well!!!
