I remember them all - Watch with Mother every day at 1.45pm. I loved The Woodentops, Spotty the dog was my fave.

I must apologise I didn't see the sad stuff last night regarding your house. I wont drag it all up again, suffice to say I feel for you. I know it is hard but as each day passes it will slowly slip into a memory and not a thought. Experience tells me that. I have grieved for many things in my life... Deaths, Losing homes, my child leaving home at 16 because they couldn't cope with the situation, Loves, and so on and I know how hard it is. But it doesn't mean that you wont ever be happy, comfortable and settled again. You are on the first rung of a ladder... just keep climbing one rung at a time and before you know it you will be looking down and realising just how high you have gone.

I was'nt going to mention Watch with mother and the woodentops, my favourite, too !!!..................

Was'nt it on, on fridays, if my memory serves me correctly?

Or maybe i'm just going senile.....................

If it was, i've got a bloody good memory

Was it on this thread Nohope, that someone said you have to go through the grieving process? It is completely understandable that you are upset, and you will have bad days as well as good days.

It is not as easy as saying the words " forget about it, put it behind you and move on". Even though anyone who says them I am sure mean them in the nicest possible way and don't mean any offence or hardship.

I'm sure it was, but i still can't read back in my diary

Its a bad day, today. I must go and do some work

Love and thanks to you all xx

Ahh, silly me, i thought they would totally stop....................

Yes, they have diminished, you're right x

But what about you? still got car problems too, though! that seems to be a major issue when you are ahermm, poor...........

when grieving over anything, don't feel guilty about taking some time out to feel bad and wallow a bit - you need to do that to heal.

i still visit an old neighbour and for years, pulling onto their drive and seeing MY house looking so different and lived in by someone else was horrible. i still occasionally think about it but moreso because my neighbour was/is my closest 'friend' - only person that has stuck by me through everything. the house itself.....i don't feel the angst any more.

we'll get through it nohope - you know where i am if you need me:) xxx

cars... mot and tax due this month so i need to magic at least a couple of hundred quid from somewhere - and thats if the car passes!! i've developed another health problem too so i have been referred to a different hospital - really need that blooming car to stay on the road. i'll do what i can. thats all. (may get the crayons out and draw some of that money stuff later:cool:).

A chap at work invited me for dinner, I arrived a little nervous and he said dinner isn't quite ready but a have a video for you to watch while you wait. Oooh err I thought, what on earth is this going to be, should I panic???? He sits me down, switches on the TV, presses play and what is it? A BBC video of a week of Watch with Mother :T
    Tales of the Riverbank
    Bill and Ben
    Andy Pandy
    The Woodentops
Can't remember what the last on was, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and we have been buddies ever since :rotfl:

Now everyone knows that Watch with Mother was on every day at lunchtime but who can remember Listen with Mother on the radio????

Hope you have banished the weepies for the day Nohope. Just keep telling yourself "every day,in every way, I am getting better and better". I *think* this is a Frank Spencer quote but I am happy to be proved wrong! But every time you manage through a day you have got through or over something and this can only make you stronger.
