    Hi NH

Hope you sort the car parking out....I had similar a few years ago with my diesel estate....it definately did sound like a tank & used to take ages to warm up in the morning. The neighbours got fed up of complaining in the end... ( & the exhaust smoke LOL)

I`m back now...all moved in now although its so tough when you`re skint . Thankyou for the good wishes.

    How was your day Nohope?

I have just exhausted myself moving two bits of furniture around after a looooong day at work. So tired but happy so far. Nice to see Start Again's diary, wonder if they know So Sad Angel? She said a friend might be calling by a few weeks ago. She is moving house that is why she hasn't been on but sends her love to everyone.

Yes I remember SA....I`ve posted on her diary just to say `hi`...nice to see her back on DFW.

Congrats to 3 dogs on your dro. I'm not sure what difference a dro is, to bankruptcy, but it must be a relief to you.

Many thanks Nohope - my DRO was granted on 13th January :j

A DRO (Debt Relief Order) is like a mini-bankrupcty really and they were only set up in April 2009 to sope with the number of people with less debt who nevertheless could not pay them. They are for people who have no real assets so home-owners are excluded though a car/van worth up to £1000 is OK to have. You must have a balance of between £0 and £50 left available to pay your debts after taking account of all reasonable household expenses, and your debts must not exceed £15,000. Once the order is granted, by the OS through an Authorised Intermediary (e.g. CCCS, CAB, etc) there is a moratorium period of 12 months during which your creditors can't pursue you for your debts, and after which time your debts are written off and you start afresh. So, my moratorium period will end on 13th January 2012, similar to AD really

The orders are listed in the Insolvency Register for 15 months, again in the same way as bankruptcy is recorded

It was a bad day all round. I felt undervalued at work. Definitely undervalued, devalued, whatever, at £3 an hour and no travel expenses. A professional job for a respected body, earning £3 an hour. I seriously have to rethink things. Not even the minimum wage. I'm supposed to put up, because i desperately need to work. But at what point do you say enough is enough. That is taking advantage. But i can't say anything, because everything i say is always wrong, or it always comes out sounding wrong. I was right in the first place. I'm no good at english, or explaining myself or my thoughts.

Nohope, it does sound like you had a bad day yesterday.

Can you find another job that pays you more? I only earn £7.50 an hour, no chance of a payrise, and this is a whole lot less than I earnt before I had DS. I put up as finding another job where I live is very hard, and I only work 3 days, my choice of hours. For that reason I let it go.

You sound like you are lacking confidence. I don't think that you are no good at english or explaining yourself, it is just taking time, constructing what you want to say in your head before saying it.

If there is any chance of another job where you are, I know the economy is bleak, why don't you try it? Have you ever tried an assertiveness course? They don't teach you to be aggressive or rude, but how to confidently talk to people, and get your point across nicely.

    Morning Nohope,

It reminds me of when I learnt to drive. My dear late Dad used to say that I needed a skip on wheels and not a car! Bless him, but I was really lucky because he had his own company and I had a whole range of company cars and even transit vans to practice with (him with me, of course) and it gave me the confidence to drive my own horsebox.
That was when I actually had some money, or should I say credit, in my life. How times change.....
    Have a good day everyone.

You cannot work for £3 an hour, period. Benefits are better than that and you know it, Nohope.
There comes a time when you have to evaluate things and you have started that over the last few weeks but aren't seeing any of it through. That resentment that you feel over being undervalued is coming out in all areas of your life.
I earn £7 an hour, I used to earn double that 20 years ago so it is a hard thing not to feel bitter. Added to being bossed around by someone 30 years younger than myself it makes for a difficult life. But, strangely enough, I take more pride from seeing the end result when I finish my cleaning job in the morning, than I ever get from my office job.

You really have to find something that makes you feel worthwhile.
What about completely changing what you do for a living? Work with people and learn that you can give something back that is well received and enjoyed.

You have got to find a way to mix more with the big, wide, world. Go for a walk, say hello to people. Watch some Sunday morning football or some other sport that is in your area.

Stop taking offence at what people say - I was exactly the same, a case of low self esteem, the blues, and feeling very hurt. Grow a shell and keep writing on here. ;) At the moment you are your own biggest enemy... make a friend of yourself and start being a bit more positive. We are all behind you.... :)

    Hugs

:kisses3:Hey it's me again, I am ok today. Was ill yesterday so misread what you said. In the PM. We are friends and nothing is going to change that. What sort of a job would your ideal one be? I bet there are loads of good things you can do.

Could you become a tour guide and take people walking? working in a tourism field will mean you can work outside. Can you manage a museum, stately home or something? work in the music and arts industry - think of all the concerts you could go to for free, get a part time job in a cinema - free films, work for John Lewis or M&S, jolly good discount and you can save for nice things. These are all the things i will do if i ever lose my job.

Make a list. Nothing is impossible. Life is only a prison if we make it so. Yes we will have bad days due to illness, stress at work, money issues but we are supposed to be intelligent so let's use it to make ourselves happier and keep going. You have been to the blooming Galapagos Islands how many other people can say that?

    Big hug, :kisses3:

Why the heck did i thank this. You didn't say anything wrong. You made a joke, i was ill and emotional and didn't understand and jumped to the wrong conclusion and didn't stick around for an explanation. I am about 5 years old sometimes, that was it. So dont worry ok. I promise i will laugh at your jokes in the future. :)

Nohope! no wonder you cannot afford to eat! Have you looked at Working Tax Credit? You may be entitled to something even if you are a single person. For £3 an hour I would say you are definitely entitled!

And no wonder you are feeling down, you aren't getting proper food. My PM still stands, just reply hun x
