:eek:to earning less than the National Minimum Wage.

Seriously, I thought that was illegal, how on earth do they get away with that

I don't understand why you don't think you are good at english? Your written word comes across very eloquently and I have always thought you to be well educated.

I agree with what SA said, you have to love yourself first. Once you feel better about yourself it makes your interaction with other people easier..... Wonder how I know that!!!! Just proves you can change IYSWIM

No Nohope was upset after they said something and i was all blooming hormonal and misinterpreted it and then i was upset. Nohope did nothing wrong. DO NOT beat yourself up. You did nothing wrong. It was me and i am sorry. Really. It's just my blooming hormones and nuttyness. I know you are lovely and are making such progress. It is a privilege to watch you grow. You can't leave or i will find you and stalk you (dont know how but i will find a way). I am already stalking George and Puddings. PS i love your writing- Holden Caulfield, such an unique way with words. You remind me a bit of AlistairQ in a way, not that i know him v well either.

I feel very disallusioned here, but unfortunately this is my very personal diary, and its here, regardless of how i feel about what is allowed to happen here. After all, its only the internet and its fair game. Anything goes. You still can't beat looking into the eyes of a real person. I never trust anyone until i've looked into their eyes, and even then, some. So people may feel insulted by what i say. But i'm like marmite ,too.

Today has been ecstatic day. So tired after working late yesterday, and even i'm beginning to feel like a monkey. But i keep telling myself, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys, and i'm no monkey. Put it down to experience and say i'm never doing that again. Till the next time, that is. Because of course there will be a next time. You don't know until its too late. I might as well finish what i've started. But it brought me into contact with a stranger, who made me realise how strong i am.Of course i'm bloody strong. Who else who have survived what i've been through. Only me. I know that. But have i survived yet? Do i want to survive. I still don't know.

But i should look on the positives and the ecstasy today. Because i was genuinely relieved. An early start, up at 5 again, to take bloody CAR for mot. Spent all day at work worrying how may £100's i don't have, it was going to cost. Could'nt find the garage in the dark. Its years since i've been.I'd agonised where to take it, now i've moved. Why did i stop going there ? because i lived too far away. Not any more, a garage that survives on recommendations. CAR passed bloody mot, without so much as a wiper blade needing to be replaced. You little beauty, get in..... And about time too. All that money thats already been spent on it. I nearly died of shock. £40 for the mot. Are you sure. Thank god. What about the work you've done? But he knows i'll go back. Got rid of the oil leak with a simple adjustment of the sump gasket. The electrics have burnt out in the control panel. Thats more difficult. Have to try and locate the part through the owners club. Had wheel bolts checked, yet again. Still had time to polish it for me too. How about that for service? £40. Such a relief. Just got to get through march now when the road tax and next insurance payment is due. That will wipe me out of nearly £500. Thats a big hit. But if i can get past that, then maybe i can look to the rest of the year as trouble free motoring? Is there ever such a thing, with an older car? No. But i got a thrill for the first time in ages, driving back down the motorway, knowing it out performs virtually anything else on the road. You and me are going places. Like car shows. I'm might as well start enjoying the biggest drain on my resources, other than driving to work. I'm going to buy an anorak. Someone told me of a car show, yesterday. I think i might go this year. Just start small scale, as i still can't afford the petrol. Put my principles to one side, as i don't believe in polishing and showing your car. Lets face it, i'm never going to polish it, to take it to a car show. I believe the enjoyment comes from driving your car, thats why i've never joined the owners club. Keeping it in the garage and taking it out once or twice a year goes against everything, i believe in. But its a new interest, and i've been through so much with that car, lately. Its the only thing i have left, of me. Cheers CAR x

£40 for an MOT is ace. Its far better than them phoning to tell you that they can't MOT it because in between you topping up the screenwash and dropping it at the garage the bonnet catch died or the apology that they've had to fail it after the examiner grabbed hold of the chassis to take a quick look underneath only to find he had a handful of dust.

The downside to the internet is you don't have the facial expressions to go with peoples comments so what one person views as a supportive and friendly kick up the bum can be viewed by others as offensive and downright rude. Thats never going to change. Its the difference between watching Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear and reading through the rambling of the same mad man on paper. One is almost funny whilst the other is truly barking.

Hope you enjoy waking up the neighbours today. You never know they may secretly be v. jealous of your classic car ownership and tweak their curtains to lust after it each morning as they stare out the window at their souless modern box on wheels. My neighbours are the first to complain about the oil slicks outside the house and the noise and "that eyesore" and yet on snowy days they'll also materialise to ask for a tow out of the ditch with said eyesore or even a lift to the shops.

    Nohope,

    There you are.....

Now - if one of the people getting on your nerves is me, then tell me in a pm and I will lay off, promise ;)

But please try not to take umbrage so easily.... we are all here to support each other, you know that in your heart of hearts.
Next, ding, that is a HUGE achievement with the car and you know it too. It could have been a potential financial and emotional disaster, but it wasn't... Remember what I said about worrying about things in the future that may not even happen? Nuff said... :)

Try and glow from the happiness that has given you... it is like your 5 daily positives all in one go. When the weather warms up a bit, get yourself outside and start polishing it up ready for the first show. Goals, targets, challenges..... you know it makes sense.

Have you contacted sw yet? Inadvertently you have made each other unhappy and she is such a sweetie please put her mind at ease.

Haven't read my diary yet, I hope you have found time to post on there, if not, do so.... or I will be looking for you again... :D

    Hugs

It's ok. They contacted me. I am fine now. Even more determined to meet them now and see this car and hear about the Galapagos and music.

No hope glad yesterday was a good day. By contacting me you helped to make mine (already a good day) much better. Hooray.

Big hug, I do hope you have a lovely day today. PS what cake do you like?
