Yep, back to this one, as i struggle with the health stuff. I am still struggling with the concept of having personal discussions on an open forum? What sort of a person would do that. Still, people keep blogs, don't they. They are personal? Tinternet. Pah.

Blimmin health stuff. All that stuff that's at the bottom of the pile. I received a phone call out of the blue yesterday, inviting me for another scan and possibly more examinations this week. I can't cope with it, i honestly can't, because the nature of my now other illness, means i can't. Because i can't cope with anything except being a faceless person who spouts words? I've avoided my gp like the plague, for some time now. Probably one of those generation things, as is the taking pills, thing. The whole blimmin system has now changed, and i just ended up getting very upset, ( because i can't cope.) You now have to tell the receptionist why you want to see a dr, ( what happened to patient confidentiality?) I am not going to tell a receptionist what is wrong with me. Then the receptionist forwards you to a triage nurse, who may or may not call you back by the end of the day, ( too late to get an appointment,) who will then assess is you can have an appointment with a gp.Which is fine if you know you are going to be ill, two weeks in advance, but i'm not that psychic.

Which leads me to, it's been a day of stress, trying to get an appointment with a gp, and i'm not going through that again. It's too much like hard work. I wonder how many people think, i just won't bother going to my gp? I know i won't again. As far as i'm concerned, my gp doesn't exist, let alone getting to see the same gp each time you go. A gp who know nothing about you, who doesn't even bother to read your notes? How can they in 8 mins or whatever it is? Just put up and shut up, with being ill? I now can't decide whether to keep the appointment for the scan, although the charity person has said they will come with me. Spend the rest of the week, agonising over that one. Do i really care about my health? or quality of life? What has happened to the world today, or is it just me? The whole world is going mad. Yep. I can't cope with change.

  • We care, Ani, it's good that the charity is still on touch and will come with you for the scan. So very hard to deal with the whole "health machine", especially at the point you feel least able too.

Good news too that the benefits are, at least temporarily, sorted out for you.

    Big hugs

Benefits? I still don't actually know what my income is, as i am still receiving letters saying various benefits have to be repaid. I received another letter yesterday, from d** debt management. It's rather shocking seeing those words in black and white, considering it's in no way my fault, i am now party to d** debt management. And they still haven't acknowledged one single letter from wr. And i am set to start the whole process of assessment, atos and all that nonsense, in november. It's november now, isn't it? Pah

I slept for most of the evening, as ever, and now i can't get back to sleep again, despite the fact i'm desperately tired. :o The "good?" news is, i haven't as yet, cancelled the scan, although i still can't bring myself to go. But the small amount of logic still remaining in my brain tells me, if i cancel, i'll wait an eternity for another appointment, if that's what they've decided, and i'll never stop feeling so ill?

Ah well, finally got back to sleep, and just woken up. :( I can't be arised to go out today, although i had it in mind to purchase my stamps today, before i forget and in case i become " not " entitled to them, anymore. One never knows, from day to day. It's going to cost around £15? Yowch. But i'll have enough stamps to last me a lifetime? Not that i ever send xmas cards, but there's always plenty of appeals? I seriously need to cut my hair and i should make a half hearted attempt at unpacking? Urgh, it's one of those days of low mood. Come along now. Pull yourself together. And people imagine there's nothing wrong with you. Why? because you are vaguely aticulate?

Been and made use of being a benefits phleb. I now have a never ending supply of stamps i am never going to use? I was the first person, ( and probably the last,) to purchase them, so they didn't " know " what to do. It's too posh around here. :rotfl:I was right, almost £15, but overall i saved £3.60. Doesn't sound so bad when you say it quickly? I also did a " big" shop on monday, but typically forgot some stuff, namely red cabbage and suet / dumpling mix, as typically, i didn't make a list.

Still, i spent £20, so not too bad, and most of it value stuff. I mustn't forget more dumpling mix. A good substitute for meat A N D yorkshire puds. I've also paid my bills, except for one, which i mustn't forget to pay. I seriously struggle to remember to pay them. Time is in limbo. Nothing at the 10p shop today, but i don't need anything as i have enough mushies, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks, onions, potatoes, carrots all costing under £1 collectively, to last me the week. Bit of a " spendy " week for me otherwise though. I wish i spent enough to get one of these 15p off a litre of fuel vouchers, though. Anyone got one going begging, please? Next week is pay week?

Also received a form from my fuel supplier, today, inviting me to apply for a free appliance. I should seriously get my act together, ( and complete a form? yeah right,) and apply for a new fridge, as mine has proverbially, had it, and i can apply for a fridge freezer. It would be useful to have a small freezer? as well as a fridge which is more cost efficient? :o I don't have the energy to unpack. Do i have the energy for another argument with the council?

Which reminds me, i bought green lentils, chick peas, flaked almonds, ( that's a treat,) pearl barley, ( who uses that nowadays?) but i've lost THAT recipe for green lentil stew / curry thing, again. Which reminds me, i forgot curry powder. Now where's that mf when you need him? :D

    Whoho

I made a lovely green lentil stew last night.

    The recipe is as follows:-

    1 large onion
    3 garlic cloves
    1 tin of chopped tomatoes
    2tsp soy sauce
    2tbsp lemon juice
    1-2tsp sage
    200g of Green Lentils
400-500ml of Veg or chicken stock.

Firstly you finely chop the onion and fry in a bit of oil until golden brown. Then you add the freshly rinsed green lentils, followed by the chopped tomatoes, the stock, the crushed garlic cloves, soy sauce, sage and lemon juice.

Then you simmer for 40 minutes and then serve with a mixed salad, or some nice bread.
