I am making tea for you, chasing scs in you garden and being around to quietly support you, with all your other friends. Sometimes real adversity challenges even real friends, you have plenty here and maybe you don't have the energy left to put into getting to know any real life people.

We are happy to become real life friends if you let us.
It would be nice to have people around and have a BBQ, sometimes you do get lonely and isolated.
You are all welcome, anytime, ( as long as you bring the bbq, food, drink, etc, etc.}:D

P.S. Have you had my green Lentil stew yet, after the hard week you went to finding it; you deserve it.
No, not yet, as i couldn't afford the ingredients. :o
Also if I knew were you lived I would come around and make you a cuppa tea and have a nice chat.

Ok. Forget that long emotional post i made this morning, and i'll make it short, as i've spent the morning crying / numb / in shock. I don't know, but it hasn't quite hit me yet, i don't think.

I will probably become the butt of all benefits bashers now, but who cares? I don't. I received one of those brown letters, this morning. The type which usually heralds either good or bad news. In fact, i didn't even devote it all my attention, as i spend every morning on the phone, don't i?

I have been awarded dla, and at a far higher rate than anyone had contemplated. I still can't get my head round it. I still can't get my head around the fact i will be able to maybe cover my bills? To eat? To look after my welfare? It's going to take a long time to sink in. Especially since the last week has been such another dark week. My rent and ct arrears have been wiped out, and i am in credit and they owe me money. I know that, because haven't i been trying to tell you all along? I've been paying too much, to the detriment of all else. It has only just dawned on me. I can't be evicted if i'm not in rent arrears? can i? I can't get my head around that one, either. It is going to take a long time for all this to sink in. Maybe i'll believe it when i have some money in my account? God, i can pay all these billls which are due. The tv licence, two lots of insurance. I can't think beyond that. How do you spend money? I went into the supermarket yesterday to buy one item. some cheese. I thought it was on offer, and it wasn't, making it £1.50 instead of £1. So i didn't buy any cheese. I have my limitations. It won't stop me buying my 10p items, for sure. Am i really going to have some income to live on? I still can't get my head round it. I hope so, because on my way back from the po, i bought two plants. A chocolate plant for £1.50 ( did you hear that, miggy? want a cutting? :D), and a raspberry bush for £!, ( complete with raspberries.) I've spent £2.50 i can ill afford to spend, but it's a long time since i've bought plants, ( apart from last week, that is.:o) No, i'm living in a dream world, right now.

At last some good news Ani.

    Thats Great

As for my seeds, they were hidden and forgotten in a lunchbox under the sink.

I know its still poor. But hopefully I will make good use of them next year.

  • Ani, I've not posted before because I didn't know what I could add and felt that sometimes another stranger (lurker) just adds to the burden. Yours is one of the first posts I read every day and I've been cheering you on (silently), but I couldn't just pass on without saying how very, very happy I am for you. You have taken so much and finally things are starting to come your way. :j:j:j:j

Thoroughly enjoy your F&C (or whatever you choose) with the amazing friends you have on here.

    Congratulations Ani! :j

You don't know me either but I always read your posts. Much the same as silentsister, I just didn't know what I could say.

But i'm so glad to hear that things are finally on the up for you. You are such a strong person!
