Thank you for having a look. Any luck? Though the car is now away for a week (nearly) so no dipsticks can be applied yetawhile.

DH has put the new hose on so hopefully the leak will have stopped.

How has your day been, or don't I ask? Two appointments over and done with; hope you aren't too exhausted?

No. I can't get past people's fax machines. I will resort to traditional methods of finding phone numbers in telephone directories, tomorrow.

What did people do without fax machines to screen them from the outside world? thank you so much for thinking of us - it does concern me that the oil level could be practically anywhere, especially after that puff of white smoke! That was the only time that's happened, though, and the car was struggling and had been struggling for a long time. We are usually a lot kinder than that.

I bet you never treat ani as badly as we treat our car?

Asking... okay, not asking. Time to put today behind you and have some 'you' time.

However. I will try and search for a dipstick.

Soooo many comments i could make on that one :p:rotfl: I know quite a few dipsticks, shall I send them your way and say you're looking for them? :D

just wanted to drop by and send you a hug, seems you might have caught the 'bleugh' from me as I felt like that on monday, since then I've trapped (or rather wedged) a nerve in my neck, am on a combo of some nice strong painkillers and everything seems a little more dandy :rotfl: (although I wouldn't advocate that as a long term solution to bleughness, and I am walking around looking like a character out of Thunderbirds which isn't very becoming :o)

Gotta keep this brief(ish) got unexpected visitors (of the human variety) staying, one of those text 1 'thinking of visiting for a few days are you guys about?' reply 'yes, when' text 2 'we're on our way':eek:

Everything is just too much at the moment. Contents insurance rising because people living in ha, have made too many claims for accidental damage. So i have to pay for it? I'm too naive, me. What about the damage i did to my computer? I've only made one claim on household insurance, in 40 years, and that's because i was burgled. I feel a new computer coming on. If you can't beat them, join them? Got some quotes for car insutrance today, but there is a problem as the enquiry i made about wm, is showing on the system somewhere as a claim, meaning no one will insure me, or if so, it doubles my policy. Another one to be sorted, and fast. That's before i'm the recipient of what they all say at the beginning of a phone call. You may be subject to a credit check. Well that's that then. I'm bl00dy insolvent again, aren't i? Yep. Forever insolvent. Insolvent, insolvent, insolvent. What does insolvent mean? Here we are

Insolvency - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insolvency
Insolvency is the inability of a debtor to pay their debt. Cash flow insolvency involves a lack of liquidity to pay debts as they fall due. Balance sheet insolvency ...

A lack of liquidity. Well, there's definitely a cash flow problem.

I forgot to ring about esa. Another task for another day. This place is such a mess. I can't get my head round anything. Not even the gardening. My sw is supposed to be coming tomorrow, if they don't cancel, that is. What will they say? Don't do anything. Yes but. They are coming to repair the bathroom sink tomorrow, as a plumber is incapable of doing the job they are paid for, and i've been unable to use the hot tap, since the sink was installed, how many weeks ago? I didn't want to complain, yet again, but now the tap is coming to pieces. Stuff it. I'm fed up of using cold water. I'm not living in a tent. Yet. I'm going to have the ha on my back again as i haven't paid the rent. How much? Anyone's guess. I just wish all my finances were sorted and i knew how much money i had coming in, and how much money is going out. On a weekly basis? This is no different to working. The fluctution of effin benefits on a weekly basis is getting to me. Everything is getting to me. Everything. Oh, i haven't even had chance to think about health.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Bring 'em on Kerri! :D

The word 'dipsticks' invariably calls to mind Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane of Dukes of Hazzard fame. Ah, the memories of a mis-spent youth. ;) (I know other people will remember it for Daisy Duke or Luke and Bo, but Rosco somehow made an indelible impression on me :D ).

Kerri, I hope you're feeling better soon and the visitors turn out to be helpful and not stressful. x

You're probably right. I haven't had anything to eat, although i'm not hungry. I was going to try and wash ani today. More than that. I was also going to wax ani, today. Unheard of. Never got round to it. Can't get round to the simplest of tasks. Belated birthday present. Whilst i've been looking at all the insurance stuff, i realised it was ani's birthday on 1st august. First registered, that is. I thought it was august. I should remember that, shouldn't i? Actually, i just feel like, you know, one of those.

I would be tempted to offer to burgle you myself, but no doubt some eejit would somehow get to hear of it and take it seriously.

Once in forty years isn't a lot, is it? We've claimed twice in twenty (bathroom suit that got smashed years ago and flying kitchen cupboard last year).

Can't believe they did that. Yes, to be to sorted fast.

Sw tomorrow, lets hope they don't cancel. See if there's anything they can take on for you. And a plumber chap... I didn't realise about the hot tap. You'd think they could do better than that, wouldn't you? Even I can break a tap, unqualified as I am. What, you mean they aren't supposed to break them? But... but... what about the basin they broke? Do I see a pattern emerging? They do seem to be keeping each other in business.

Come over here and have some paella. It's quite nice, though I say so myself, and for the moment, all the taps here work. :)

That's sad, isn't it? I don't have friends who drop by. I don't have anyone drop by except those who say they have a duty of care. Duty, huh?
