Life has taken another change in direction. Busy day today. The roofers have just appeared. I'm getting my new roof. Shame about the weather. How likely is it to stay fine for two days? I wonder who has been eating cheese?

They have already been warned about standing on my plants. Doesn't seem to make much difference, because there isn't much space to manoeuvre, unfortunately

However, i have some perfect little tomato plants, of the yorks variety

    Anyone for radish? :D

Could you feed the radish to the workmen? :D Hope your plants survive.

Well, I guess the work and resulting noise might give you an excuse not to ring the ta people.

Ah, it's funny you should say that, i play a mean game of snooker / pool :p:D

I've been contemplating playing as i still have my cue. It costs £1 per session, :o but i find it good for the brain :p Can't pluck up the courage, or the money, to go.

Yep, it IS noisy. Have already rung ta people. They are too busy to attend to, for another week :o Have an appointment for counselling, too.

Not much more i can do. Have exhausted all avenues, now. Sit back and wait / accept my destiny?

The main issue is my lack of funds, of which i can do no more. After speaking to jcc yesterday, it's accepted there are many people in my position, and to whom their health worsens whilst " fighting " the system. They said you have to apply 3 or 4 times for dla etc, and many people end up having to go back to work and collapsing, which is what i know will happen to me. The situation is far from being resolved. How do i live in the meantime? God knows

Gosh, the workmen are having elevenses, already. All you ever see are the workmen sat in vans around here. They are on a cushy number. Never see them doing any work....:rotfl:

My line manager was saying something the other day about how the system is in the process of being rehashed to a 2-tier system from a 3 tier (I think) and how traumatic it is for people to have to be reassessed. She thinks once the whole process is through and the new system in place (April 2013) it will be more stable.

That's just what I think I understood from what she said - did I get it right? Seems to me absolutely wrong that people with chronic conditions and/or disabilities should be put through the mill like this.

Just keep me away from policy makers while I have a rolling pin in my hand.

Now there's a vision, miggy with rolling pin in hand, i like it :rotfl:

Yup, much of the problem seems to be the change over from IB to ESA, apparently, which is little consolation for those who didn't choose to be ill. :o

Also, the fact atos is a private company over which dwp have no control?
