Life after bankruptcy?

18 months :rotfl:
On the other hand, if you weigh up how many 0845 calls i've had to make and the cost of travelling to the jcp and council, to make free calls etc, its probably worth its weight in gold.
Put that way, it sounds like a pretty good thing to have. Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.
Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine
Do you know, I've never been to Scarborough? Scandalous, isn't it? Whitby, yes; Scarborough, no.
The other scandalous thing is that I have no decent parsley (just a scrappy bit), plenty of sage but no cuttings of it , my beautiful rosemary died and I never worked out why, and the only time is on the clock. Shame. If I had space I might do something about it.I'd best start saving now, then. Hang on a minute, didn't that beanie say something about f & c. I know where you can buy the most devine fresh crab sandwiches, very cheaply, ( and there's not many places you can do that, nowadays. )
Okay. a stroll along the beach, f and c, ( in polystyrene containers for h & s,)ginger ice cream, a pot of eg, all preceded by a g and t or a glass of champers to celebrate the fact i made it there in the first place
Seriously, if i met up with you guys i suspect there wouldn't be a dry eye in the place. I know i would just burst into tears, regardless.
Not a problem. I will bring tissues. Lead me to the crab sandwiches!
And to quote a psalm: 'They that sow in tears shall reap in joy'. I bet at the end of the day we would all have had a marvellous time and a really good laugh.I suppose it doesn't matter what anyone looks like. You may have an image in your mind, ( which is probably completely wrong, )but when you've grown to know someone as a person, through the written word, you would never turn round and say, i don't like the look of that person. Thats what its all about, isn't it? Although, my innermost thoughts are, well......................
I would have missed some super friendships if I had seen the person before I got to know them: there are too many nice people on the internet where no one can see them, and I'm afraid I would have fallen victim to stereotypes and prejudged them and never known just how nice they are.Right, not started potting yet. I don't think the weeding will be done today. Its taken me all morning to pay the rent, ( yes, i've paid the rent.) My form has come for phlebs account, ( that was quick,) they DID take note of my message after all, so i've applied for that, so i can have my benefits paid in, ( and nothing else. ) I can't even pay money in, as i read it.
This is all sounding very business-like. I'm so pleased you have the rent done and dusted. :j:j:j:j
I have done enough potting for both of us today. 72 out of 99 tomato seedlings and some balsam (I think that's what it's called). I def won't have enough room, so I'm thinking of putting some on a bay window roof. What do you think? Nice idea or scatty?Actually, it occurs to me I'm not doing anything else with the space...
Very stupidly blew my food budget, ( what food budget?) on two pepper plants. Sigh. Yes i now realise miggy, its going to take some time before i can eat my own peppers, ( if ever,) and they looked so invitingAlmost two dozen peppers well on their way to being ready to eat. Apparently the weather around here hasn't been warm enough to encourage growth, ( for those who grow their own.) Sigh
I think a lot of plants are very confused at the moment - but maybe we'll get a hot spell in Autumn like last year to extend the growing season?
I have just discovered why people grow beetroot: they're easy. I'd recommend it so far.
Good luck with the peppers - you can extend the season if necessary by having them in pots on a windowsill. I bet they'll taste lovely.
Incidentally, if you run out of large flower pots, you can sometimes get the black flower tubs for free from flower shops. They need drainage holes ideally but they're very useful anyway.Miggy

Of course, you're welcome xx
Does this mean a date and venue has to be arranged? I'm normally the master of this sort of thing.
Speedboat rides, anyone? ( i'll have to win the lottery)
Candyfloss?
Sunshine - sea
SEAGULLS
It also means a commitment to a future date, doesn't it? Oooch
I don't do future, do i?
That's perfectly okay - if you wish to arrange it for last week I have a couple of free days. Any further back and I'll have to check my diary.
Mind you the fresh crab sandwiches might be past their best.
(I can tell I need sleep... complete loopiness is a sure sign with me, but I can't get on the computer very much now what with DS2's GCSEs).Miggy

I just wouldn't know what to say to anyone.
What DO you say?

"Hello, I am ani and my real name is X".
:D:D
Or even "Hello, my name is Ani."
I found the very confusing thing about getting to know people from Mike's Mob was that they had 'ordinary' names and I couldn't remember who was who!
I suppose there's no rule that says we have to use 'real' names if we don't want to. I am quite happy to be Lady Ponsonby-Smyth, Cruella de Ville or Genghis Khan... one second thoughts maybe I'll think about that before committing...Miggy

I suppose, if you think about it, if i hadn't kept this diary and had the verbal support of the people on here, i wouldn't have got through the, well, its getting on for two years, isn't it?
I sometimes wonder why my diary hasn't been deleted, although maybe it has been edited. I don't know, but maybe someone has the sense to realise its importance, to me.I have been reading and lurking as had a few traumas here as one of my beloved dogs passed away suddenly which has completely devastated me:(:( she was the sweetest little soul and words can`t describe how much I miss her....but life goes on & I am so grateful she was in my lifeAni...you are doing so well despite everything and I admire your strength and ability to keep going.. Well done and you must believe that things will get better....yes its a fight but these days life is like that for us all. Your garden is giving you an escape and somewhere that you can rebuild and recover and just enjoying nature at its very best.
Yep, the garden IS giving me an escape, isn't it? ( since i can't walk )I`m not far away Hun and as I`ve said before if you fancy a nice drive to Chats***** for a day out and maybe a wander around the big house then let me know. In fact how about a picnic for everyone in the grounds? LOL...bet we`d be a right rowdy bunch...:DAs for meeting folks off here...personally I think that if its someone who is around for a long time and has stuck with you on your debt journey then that`s enough for me. I think when we are at a low ebb our defence shields come up and we `hide` away...I was like that but slowly I opened up and let people into my life again...now I don`t mind who knows who I am.Anyway I have waffled for far too long so I hope you enjoy all this lovely sunshine...it`ll bring the plants on so quickly! (hmmm & I hope my sweet peas decide to actually grow too !! )

Shame on you, you haven't lived. Scarborough it is then? I think there's a few of you in yorkshire? Gods own county
Well, it is, if you want fresh, (proper ) crab sarnies :rotfl:The other scandalous thing is that I have no decent parsley (just a scrappy bit), plenty of sage but no cuttings of it , my beautiful rosemary died and I never worked out why, and the only time is on the clock.
