The person from the charity rang me last night. That was a surprise. Thats kind of them. They are coming to visit this week, just to talk. Its in the lap of the gods

The reason you're not getting phone calls is nothing to do with whether people like you: rather, you've been buried in work so long, and you've not given your number to your old neighbours (I think). Also your friends on here are drop in online which is kind of equivaslent to a phone call.

You will make new contacts (and find friends among them)... maybe when you're giving guided tours of the garden? :D

    Happy gardening day. :)

Ani - the phone calls we get consist of Mum, MIL/FIL, sales calls.... as Miggy says, the number of calls you get isn't a reflection of how many friends you do / don't have, more just how you communicate in other ways.

The hanging baskets sound lovely, I have a spare hook for one if any are looking for a home? I can pay in tea, biscuits and a bent ear if you want to chat, or if you're really unlucky I could bake something x

    my weekly phonecalls.......

Aesop, your payment is late, why haven't you paid on time?

Me: because I wasn't paid on time

Could I speak to Mr Donut?

Me: no such person here. stop calling this number! how many times do I have to tell you?

Aesop, you were missold PPI in 2006.....

Me: very nice, I can deal with it all for the price of a stamp

Hello.... gobbledygookgobbeldyokkoo (number is from abroad)

Aesop: how many times do I have to tell you that person does not have this number anymore! it belongs to me!!!!

I am not a phone person, for the simple reason I never had a landline until I needed broadband, and even now don't use my mobile for calls. Plus DS hates me talking to ANYONE on the phone, he starts shouting, singing, talking, anything to distract me, which is not good when I am arranging his hospital appointments!

So I do not make or take many calls at home.

Funny you should say that. I was looking at a local guide, the other day, where people do, just that. Unfortunately, i don't think my garden is expansive enough to qualify for that category. They charge for it, too :p

Glad its not just me, with the phone calls, then.

I only ever seem to get phone calls when someone wants something, usually money.
