Hey ani, I just wanted to apologise for not being about over the past few days, darn 'life' getting in they way xx i saw you mentioned about thinking of joining the walking club, well, there is no reason at all why you shouldn't if you want to, you're not contageous, just someone who is going through a tough time and I'm pretty sure the club wouldn't have a 'normal' scale to decide whether people can join or not...if they did chances are there'd be no one :rotfl: xx

Miggy, I have about 10 little tom plants growing on my kitchen windowsill (went through a little stage of looking a but peaky but have suddenly grown a couple of inches this week). Oh and I share your dislike of ivy, creepy destructive stuff that harbours BIG spiders (not that I have anything against big spiders so long as we don't actually come face to face )

    Week 8

Week 8 with no income. Its almost resignation. Yup. I'm resigned to existing like this. I can't use the word living. Although i'm still drawing breath, i don't feel like i'm living. Wr has written to ask if i can have an interim payment, but in the meantime, my debts are mounting, as things have to be repaid from my benefits. If i ever get any, that is. I'm extremely worried after reading some of the threads saying how long it takes for esa to be assessed. What are you supposed to do in the meantime? Oh yes, i forgot. Live on fresh air. Theres nothing anyone can do to stop the debt collectors, although i've now been told i can just ring the p* if i get harassed. I should be able to fight my own battles, shouldn't i? I don't like the thought of wasting p* time on such a trivial matter. On the other hand, is a life such a trivial matter?

I've spent most of the last few days in tears. I can't get out of this mode, now. Maybe its a release from all those pent up emotions, where i've wanted to cry, but been unable to. I still can't completely let it all out. One day, maybe. I just burst into tears with any conversation i have.

I'm supposed to be seeing my sw this week, i think. I'll believe it when i see it. I think i'm slowly growing to accept that nothing happens, or happens at snails pace.

Yes. I went to the walking club, but it seems they are fair weather walkers.Of course, its p* down for most of the week. I was grossly disappointed, given the superhuman effort it took for me to go out in the first place. No one could understand that, if they tried, but i DO intend to go again. There's progress, huh?

Today i have to sort out my wtc.I'm reluctant to do this, as its the only means i have to buy food, ( sorry, plants.) WR say you are allowed one months grace. Hmmm Gonna have to pay that back too. There's going to be nothing left of my benefits, if i ever get them. £1 here. £1 there. Jeez, i'm going to be in debt for some considerable time.

Had an afternoon when it stopped raining, this weekend. Did some gardening and planted some plants. It was a waste of time because the winds yesterday completely destroyed all my hard work, and mowed down most of my plants, therefore reducing me to even more tears. Life's !!!!!, isn't it?

Now i've just wet myself laughing. Post just arrived. Never comes at the same time. Letter re hb / ct. Thankyou for your claim for hb / ct benefit. Unfortunately we need more evidence or details, to process your claim. Proof of your ESA allowance as soon as it awarded. If you do not provide the evidence or information requested within two weeks of the date of this letter ( why is it always the date on the letter? thats a week gone already:rotfl:) we will assume you do not wish to claim and your claim will not be calculated. Also, my benefit cannot be backdated. Thats more debt, then. More effin phone calls.

Whats with this fcuking government? Haven't i paid enough tax and insurance for 40 years?

Car boots, huh? Wouldn't sell much there, then.

Which reminds me. I actually, yes ACTUALLY, considered the possibilty of selling ani, this weekend. Ani is now in exile, anyway. There's no way some poxy dc is having that car, for £100.

The good news is, although there is some variant in estimated value, ani has pretty much retained the value i originally paid. Thats saying something, for a heap of metal. How many cars retain their value? Of course, in real terms, a car is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it, and its not exactly a desirable car, in this economic climate. But deep down, both you and i know, selling ani, is like selling my soul. What's left of it.

Its fatal, looking at cars. I saw another one. No road tax, either. I could start a collection. In my dreams. It also got me into " car " mode, and joining car clubs. Now how could someone who has no money, do that? There's a meet in may. Sounds fantastic. Sold out. That all belongs in a different world.

Sorry your feeling so low, as for ESA what have they said? why your waiting fir the Atos assesment you should recieve the assement rate of ESA of £56.25/£71 a weekish depending on age (if income based I have no idea on contribution based) Then after the assesment they backdate the additional element if you know what I mean? I know £56.25 a week isnt a lot but it at least means your other benefits ie HB and CTC can be paid at least.

Also sorry if you've already tried have you applied for crisis loans?

Hey Ani, just dropping in to offer a hug, sorry it's not much but I hope its something to raise a wee smile...or even a twitch at the corner of your mouth.

Well done for going to the walking club - and pah to the fairweather walkers, perhaps your new mission could be to turn them into hardcore mountaineers? :D

Don't worry about the plants, you've done well to get them in the ground and they'll soon pick up - they are hardly little b*ggers (well they have to be, think how long plants have been on this planet for), and even if you lose a couple then just look at it that they have gone to fertilise the earth for something else.

It's ok to have a good cry, crying is underrated, sometimes you just need to pop the cork and let it flow. Shall I put the kettle on and pop round with some tissues and choc digestives (good for dunking) ? xx

I rang dwp today, and my application for esa still hasn't even been processed yet. I don't know what an atos assessment is? I don't think i've reached that far yet, since they haven't even looked at the forms. They told me to ring back later in the week, when they would look into it.

I've already had my crisis loan, ages ago, when i needed some food, and this will have to come out of any benefits paid, too :( It wasn't much, £20 ish, if i remember.

    Thanks kerri xx

I'm not a hardcore mountaineer either, at the moment. I'm not even a hardcore benefits scrounger :o

I'm going to get some supports for the plants, tomorrow. Hopefully they should be cheap. The buds were too heavy for the stalks, anyway. I should have seen that one coming.

Tea and sympathy sounds good. I wonder if onr day there'll be anything to celebrate? I suppose i'm still here. Is that a celebration?
