Miggy. I got you a present. And you too Firewalker, because i hope you would learn something from it. Sadly, it didn't cost shedloads of money. In fact, it didn't cost anything at all. But they say its the thought that counts. And there are more than just thoughts, in my presents.

Whatever anyone says, sometimes however hard you try, the impossible just isn't possible.

Ani, I am touched. Visitng parents' grave(s) is always hard.

I am on my way back to the UK - you know what? I not only travel but also am not 'a native'; and the UK is still my favorite place. The UK is where home is; a home made of people and memories.

Good to have you back - I was thinking you had undiagnised something or other from being attacked. Hopefully not.
A short-for-me reply because if I answer everything this thread will probably go over the legal limit.

It seems likely the person who committed the assault will get their knuckles wrapped, ie a caution.
Remember a conviction, though it sounds a lot less satisfactory than prison, deportation or whatever, still goes on the person's record and will show up in CRB searches.

Its a year tomorrow, since i started this blooming stupid diary.
It doesn't seem quite appropriate to send you any sort of anniversary wishes but erm... well, I'm glad I've known you for a year anyway, despite the circumstances.

Ooh, a present! Thank you so much! It must be Christmas or my birthday or something. :)

Its surprising. Its way too emotional even though its almost 31 years since my dad passed away, and 10 years since my mum.

Wasn't it your anniverary this week? I don't know which day, but my anniversary would have been the 13th august. Imagine getting married on the 13th? It was the only day available, as no one else wanted to get married on the 13th :o Was too long ago now, back in the 70's. If your wedding photo's are anything like mine. Wide lapels and flares  Quite amusing, really. Call it an anniversary pressie.

I forgot before. I saw a dolls house shop, which reminded me of you, ( no, i didn't buy anything there ).

It's also a year since you started your diary. I suspect that makes it more difficult too. Visiting... perhaps as it's a while since you've been able to go, it brings it more sharply into focus? I'm sorry it's so hard though.

Yes, it was last week but we were both working so we celebrated early. Wide lapels and flares :D those were the days! I bet you had long hair too? (Didn't everyone?) We got married in the 1980s - I thought I designed my own dress but looking back I think Princess Diana had some influence :D.

I shall greatly look forward to my anniversarypresent, thank you. :)

And a dolls' house shop - York? Richmond? Or somewhere else entirely? I confess I've somehow got myself a Dolls' House Emporium cataloge. Can't think how that happened. I had better go and make a list to calm myself down.

You've got me worried now, as my idea of something special, chosen with, ermm, well, no emotion, surpasses others expections, ( if that's how you could describe it). In other words, what means alot to me, means nothing to someone else.

A man with long hair? Or a woman with long hair? Anything was possible, in the 70's.

AHH HAA. I found a dolls house shop, where? A place where time stands still.

So you've been married for getting on for 30 years? Thats quite some achievement in this day and age, ( yes ok, i know thats a prejudiced thing to say, but i'm entitled to my opinions ).

    Ugh, i feel ill.

    Happy diary anniversary.

    19 months after bankruptcy.

Very little has changed, except i decluttered / downsized, as you all say, big style. Lost almost everything i had, including myself, except a bloody car, i can't afford to run. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, you might say. Oh, i have moved on, make no mistake. But i'm heavily in debt again, with no way of getting out of it, unless i go bankrupt again. How many years do i have to wait, before i can go br again? Why, you might ask? Am i overspending? Am i spending beyond my means? The answer is yes fw. My out goings are STILL more than my incomings. So the logical conclusion is to make sure my incomings are more than my outgoings. Simples. Yeah, i'm not thick. I know that. Its easier said than done. Very easy to say, in fact.

My outgooings must be SOOoooo extravagant. I wish. I'm still barely earniing enough to cover the rent. Ironically, a work colleague asked me out of the blue yesterday, how much i spend on food a week. I had to think about it, because i still don't have a food budget, or go food shopping. Probably £5 a week, i guessed, although i haven't been food shopping or to a supermarket for weeks. Thats true. I can't remember at all, maybe months ago. The last food purchase i made, were the black peas, but i didn't go to a supermarket. I still haven't had my £50 shop from the charity, but this will come, soon. My colleague spends £25 a week on food. This seems quite a fair budget? What you could buy for £100 a month, on food. My god. I've got to the stage where i don't fancy food anymore. Not even fish and chips. All my clothes have holes in them. Even I'M starting to notice, now, whereas previously, i didn't care what people thought.

It just gets too depressing writing about debt, its bad enough, living it. I can't go on like this for much longer. I can't live forever not having the money for basics, by basics, a roof over your head. Ugh, i'm never going to survive today

Sorry to see you so down, Ani. I don't know how you do it but you seem to keep finding a way through. Who would have thought this time last year that you would have been able to get by for a year on the income you have - yet you have. I know this has meant more debt but you still have the car and a roof over your head, you still have work and you have kept to your principles.
    Sending you a big {{{hug}}}.
