ah but you see the people I work with are only interested in gossip, b*tching and spreading tales and rumour.

that is why we don't touch. and touching would not make me like them. I just pity them and have told them several times they should get out there and see what it is like in the real world!

    Ah, the real world :(

wow, I have never heard of him, so don't know what he is like but just looked at wikipedia

In December 2009, McIntyre cancelled a stand-up show at short notice after discovering that he would be performing to debt collectors. He had revealed only weeks earlier how he had struggled with substantial debt only a few years before breaking through in to the mainstream. McIntyre stated that he would have gone against his principles by performing the show.[12]

and he is from my neck of the woods.... well he nearly studied there... but had to leave.

Ah, but should happiness be an art or a natural state?

well it should be a natural state but I think it will have to be an art.

More of 'how the other half live'. I am amazed what they throw away (been wombling again). :) It's only the ones who don't have or haven't had who seem to appreciate what money can do. There was a survey recently which showed that poorer people give more to charity than richer ones. I think that's because they appreciate that even a little helps - though you could argue that the richer ones didn't get that way by giving it away! :D (Not a view I agree with by the way).

This is true. Have much nearly always wants more?

In my experience people who have nothing WILL give more, both financially and emotionally. They have nothing to lose? They know what its like? You look after each other?

I think the truly rich are those who are rich in spirit too, and give back to communities emotionally. The richest people i ever knew weren't the wags type people. You know the ones who dress like tramps, even though they are wealthy. Not people who aspire to be. What is wealth?

A very wealthy guy told me a story recently how he went to buy a highly expensive car in a showroom and he was thrown out of the showroom and the staff refused to take him seriously, even though he could have bought the whole car manufacturer. :rotfl:

I should add, because of the way he was dressed.

yep, typical human behaviour! Look at something, it doesn't look normal/perfect/pretty/beautiful the way they expect it to look, so it doesn't fit in, cannot be true, must be something wrong... yep. Know that feeling everyday.

I thought he was brilliant before he became famous.

My favourite story is the one he told jc on top gear, about driving a metro along the motrway. He just takes simple observations about people, ( much like me ), :rotfl: No swearing, no obscenities required.

He has had a tough time with depression, and various things too, i think. Like i said. Genius comes at a price.

I'm so glad I don't work there, Aesop - I think it would destroy me in five minutes. You've done very well to stick it out.

Anyway, the important thing is your good news. I've no idea what it was, but I'm delighted. :j:j:j:j:j

I haven't for ages - not that I've given up but that I really need to start a fresh blog as my old one, based around homeschooling, is no longer relevant.

It would mean I spent less time on here, though - and really and truly I write better when I have people to talk to. :)
