Just a thought - but would it be any use to have a second ID on here for posting on any new threads? You could have an alter ego who can stand in the place of 'Ani' in potentially tricky threads. Mind you difficulties can crop up anywhere I suppose.

It's a grey day here: I always feel better when the sun comes out but I'm determined to do something with the rest of the day, and for once it's not going to be 'make a list'.

Okay, DS wants the computer so I shall be back later.

Of course i've considered having an alter ego, but i've always believed in being true to yourself. If i am going to say anything, it is the real me speaking. I AM only one person, and i'm not afraid to say it how it is, Maybe this site just isn't the place for openess. Right now, it feels like i should never have changed my name from Nohope, which is the only change which has been made.

Ani, I am very worried about you - please, please get help. While you feel like you do and are exhausted all the time it will be difficult to sort out anything else.

And I agree with you on many points you raised in your post - about the 'skint' latte drinkers; about the people who are 'poor' but the message is sent from 'my iPhone'; about the people who are broke but earn enourmous salaries. These people should get a grip - and start trying to put more in their communities and society. I for one, stopped mentioning it - I know I am temporary broke because of my own silliness (stupidity sounds strong but may be more technically correct).

Problem is, poverty is a stuctural problem - we leave in a society that offers few opportunities to few people. This needs to change but the only attempts to change it have failed (socialism in Eastern Europe, for instance).

Of course, everyone's perception of their wealth and debt, differ according to circumstances. I'm on the bottom rung of the ladder, however i have seen it from other perspectives. It has to be said, i've never been rich financially, although maybe at times, in spirit.

Its taken me a long time to do anything today, but at least i didn't go back to bed. I started the rounds of cleaning again. God knows why, because i hate it, almost as much as i hate writing. I simply can't be bothered to fix my car. I've got to, because i know i'll regret it at some stage, ( when its torrential rain ). I mananged to move two direct debits, and buy myself a few more days. I couldn't really care less about the direct debits, but its the ongoing battle to keep this current account open. They say i'm managing my account. Are we looking at the same account? It doesn't feel like it. I can't fault the band or its cs. But the fact remamins there's still a shortage of cash. When you live like this, money is in your thoughts, 24/7.

Its amazing how you think if you blank something, it will go away / doesn't exist. Most people prefer this route.

I hadn't seen it in this light - I wouldn't want you to feel you were being deceptive. I was thinking that in a way we are all here under assumed names, because that's how the system works. It's for our protection and although there are those who misuse the anonymity, there are plenty of people just being themselves, whilst using their forum name, and that's a good thing.

I don't think i could take all the stress of being a newbie again, although it would be useful for finding information.
