It does'nt do to spend all day in front of a computer
You mean there's an alternative?
Actually between visiting Mum and going to work, DH and I went for a walk by the Swale. Wild garlic, miniscule frogs, an owl and plenty of nettles. We were just staring across a field to try to find a large and interesting bird of prey that DH had spotted when we felt a drop of rain. I turned round and saw a wall of water advancing! We ran for the trees which was probably not such a good idea as the lightening started, but we are still here to tell the tale.
I hope you had nicer weather! It's certainly been outdoor weather in between the showers here.Miggy

As I have a long term chronic condition I know a little about physio.
Should be provided on NHS.
Our surgery does 'Physio Direct': you just book with one of the physios. The website says: 'A leaflet explaining the service is available from reception. Following advice from Physio Direct an appointment to see our community physiotherapist, X X may be offered. Alternatively your GP may refer you to the physiotherapist. ' I think it's a basic consultation plus a leaflet of exercises if that's all they think is needed. Otherwise they refer you on. So there's no mention of a charge. Hope you find something similar, it might help.Miggy

Yep, we all did it together. The house looks nice and we just finished watching Rocky - I wanted Little Boy to see it.
Keep safe and look after yourself.

Well I have a confession, DS is a telly addict like mummy. When it is on in the house, he watches some of it, then plays with his toys, will get up and watch a bit more. Then carry on playing.
DS has always preferred to be outdoors than stuck indoors. He wakes up and at 9.15 is asking to go out. I don't encourage him to learn to play computer games, or the Wii.
His friend plays computer games and knows far too well how to navigate the controller and the screen. DS hasn't a clue and I am happy for that. I said to another friend, who's kids live for their Wii and computer games, my DS doesn't know how to play computer games or understand them.
She said yes, but this is what my boys do. Yes, because that is what their Daddy taught them. No fresh air, let's kick a football around....noooooooooooooo, let's just sit here playing computer games. Not healthy, not good.
DS will be put off computer games for as long as possible by me. The TV addiction is my fault, but he much prefers to be out playing, riding the buses, feeding the ducks, etc.
And he is really getting into reading his books. The other night, he said to me, you can read me lots and lots of books
Some nights we have to read 5 before he goes to sleep. Not that I am complaining, I want him to have a love of books.
Put it this way, I wanted to do some housework today, so I will not be doing loads at the last minute..... nada done!
We went to Dermatologist, went to feed ducks, played in the playground, gave my opinion on local services, funny when I wanted to say more, my Local Councillor told me that was fine, could see I was busy...... puzzled head ...:rotfl: went to local show, went to playground! Went food shopping, back home. Fed DS, Daddy home.
no time for housework today, tomorrow daddy is here, so no housework again.
Ani, we can come to some arrangement about payment, I have lots of softener for clothes, washing up liquid, no 7 stuff got free, etc.... :rotfl:0 -
All mine are telly addicts! Comes of having parents who read a lot.
Well, DH is a telly addict too... I'm not, I prefer talking to my computer.
Both my boys love computer games (so do I but I never got the hang of the more up to date consoles) but DD isn't bothered about them.
The only real outdoor-types are DS2 - despite the computer games and TV - and DH. All the kids have spent Sundays afternoons walking with Dad, I think the older ones are just in a non-outdoor phase which may last till they have kids of their own and want them to be healthy.Miggy

Personally, i think we all rely on techological gadgets for entertainment, too much, these days. Tv's in every room, is it really necessary? an assortment of games consoles, ipod's, mobile phones, the list is endless. I can remember having my first cassette player. :rotfl:
Seriously, i think the world has gone mad, when almost every person you see walking down the street, has a mobile phone plastered to their ear. I went out for a meal, many years ago, and became aware there was no conversation as the other 20 or so people sat round the table, were sat texting or whatever, on their phones. It struck me, why bother going out for a meal to socialise, when you could have stayed at home to do this. I would have walked out, but unfortunately, i would have got the sack, so i stayed and stared into space, thinking, what the heck? as i simply could'nt be bothered to initiate conversation. :rotfl:
Is it the post office and banks? now have notices saying please refrain from using your mobile whilst being served. It has to be said, its extremely rude. Of course theres the classic, I'M ON THE TRAIN, YES, I'M ON THE TRAIN..........:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The world has gone mad, and we are supposed to live in a progressive soceity.
Sorry about rant, there. I'm not having a go at you personally, thats unless you're using your mobile / watching tv / listening to your ipod / using your ipad / usong the computer, all at the same time, right this minute :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
How on earth did people live before all these were invented? The mobile phone is possibly the most anti social gadget ever invented, and yes i too have a mobile. I know theres a place for all these in the progressive world, but theres a time and a place.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

A mind blowingly boring day, cleaning and generally doing some more throwing away. At least its easy to keep this place clean and tidy. Just another days ' work ' , cleaning, and that should last until xmas. Did i say xmas?
It does'nt get dirty in the first place. It has to be said i don't have ocd with regard to ' houseproudness ', although its good to know its spotless. The feeling does'nt last for very long, though.
Some people clean every day, don't they? I tend to do it in one massive hit. :rotfl:
