Donnie having a problem getting the Driver working saying where do you want to unzip the files to

saying there is no file called that do i want to create a folder , im saying yes so creating a file C:\dell\drivers\R149798

when i say ok , it gives me a message " This self-extracting zip file is part of a multidisk zip file. Please insert the last disk of the set.

Any ideas what to do now ?

Be back on the case in the morning cheers

Just tried it, it works perfectly. Perhaps you haven't fully downloaded the file.
  • just went back to your link for the driver to put on the USB stick and its expired or no longer there, can you give us another one mate please.

Just looked at the file on the laptop and tried to install again with same results as before , file size is 253KB does that sound right ?

  • Ok mate cheers have to go out for an hour or so, get on the case when i get back
  • As soon as i click on the link it goes virtually straight away to the download , i only see the filefactory page for a split second

When i save it to the USB stick ive checked the stick and the file size is the same as before about 254KB !

Not sure what im doing wrong, do i need to run it then save it to USB stick ?

I can see in the download box that its around 4.5 MB

But thats not what im getting on the USB stick im a bit confused !

Perhaps you can save it to the working computer first , then drag it over to the USB drive.

Hi Donnie sorry about all this hassle !

Tried the above this morning and it worked perfectly, thank you :)

    Current situation is -

Laptop has the Avast installed and the Ethernet driver installed.

Ive unplugged the Ethernet cable from my PC and tried it in the laptop, logged onto the Dell drivers page from the link on this thread that you gave me earlier and it all works fine :)

Just one thing , the start menu and icons on the desktop and any webpages are showing very big like in safe mode is that anything to worry about at the mo ?
