Most travel insurers talk about European rather than the EU cover. Lithuania is definitely in Europe, so worldwide cover is not required.

We've got an annual travel policy with Norwich Union - competitive price and no problems to date. Here's a link to their site:

I've just arranged travel insurance with "Select Travel Insurance" through moneysupermarket.com for a 71 year old male costing £8.21 - 8 day cover, most companies wanted over £30 so I think I got a really good deal. They also had a very reasonable annual cover, I think it was about £60.worth a try.

Does anyone know of an annual policy for an over 60's (65 and 63) couple that will cover them for a European trip of approximately 90 days?

My parents want to spend 3 months in Spain this winter but most annual policies only seem to cover up to 45 days. They will also be taking a couple of other European holidays so an annual policy is preferred.

Thought I would ask before I start ringing round the insurers; surely this can't be that unusual?

any of them. Try to avoid the plans that are called "over 50s" plans as they are generally poor value for money and target those in poor health.

Hi,

Does anyone have any good tips for holiday insurance for my mother - she is 72, with some history of angina (more than 10 years ago) and a mini-stroke a few years ago.

She is currently being quoted £300 for a 4 week Europe trip, and this EXCLUDES the two conditions above.

If anyone has had a similar problem and found a reasonable company, I'd be grateful for tips.

My mother, also in her 70's but without health probs, found Saga cheaper [despite Age Concern being a Charity] but try both.

My MIL has travel insurance up to age 80 with her LTSB Classic account, might be worth checking with your mum's bank. MIL's fee for an upgraded account costs less than Travel Insurance on it's own would.
