the recipe I'm using at the moment is 3 x Dulux matt emulsion, 1 x plaster of paris and slightly less than 1 of warmish water. I find this really easy to paint on (on big flat surfaces)and no pilling, but I need to do many coats to get enough coverage from dark to white.

Just ordered 1kg of plaster of Paris from Amazon £4.30 delivered. Will get some cream emulsion at the weekend. Can't wait to start painting :j:j:j

If you run out of the plaster of Paris, it is £5.99 for 2.5 kilos at The Range ;)

    Did some upcycling.
Mr F found a pair of Diesel jeans when he was out walking our dog.
Someone had dumped them with a piece cut out of the leg part. I washed and
pressed them then cut them up.
Finished making a raggy rag bag - used the jeans.
The largest piece of fabric needed to make the bag is 9 inch square. Didn't
have quite enough fabric so put lining material in the top side gusset. Took
the finished bag outside to brush the raggy rag edges - makes lots of mess.
    Size of bag is - 16 x 14 x 4 1/2 inches. This is a Christmas present for
    DDIL.
I am going to make myself one of these bags for when I visit a show - nice
size to carry and the straps are long enough for on shoulder.
I used vintage trims and buttons to embellish the bag.

That's fab Flo!!! Well done to your well trained womble!

Some fab make overs on here lately, I've not done anything furniture wise since last year and I keep finding myself on fleabay looking at dressers.....I have 3, I don't "need" another one but..... ;)

I've found a new hobby to keep me busy (pics in the usual place) and I'm trying to persuade DH that an extra dresser would be very handy to keep all my frames and papers in......he's not buying into the idea..........yet :)

Oh bananas I knew I should have asked. Nearest range is 10 miles away but will be worth the trip. At least I know now. :)

Fantastic as ever JJ. Just a word of caution, don't have keys near to the door, especially if the door has a letter box - there are some very nasty folk about!

I'm loving this thread! I've been repainting old furniture for quite a few years now, but usually just do the old plain cream, white or grey. I have a few coffee tables to do and was thinking about selling them on but want to do something different, like stencilling the top with flowers or something. Has anyone got any tips please?
