INGREDIENTS: Methyl cellulose (natural glue) , Talc , Jurassic Chalk , Natural pigments

I've never seen this before - I take it you are supposed to mix it with water to make a coloured chalk paint?

yes it says "For best and 100% ECO FRIENDLY RESULT mix with water. For less ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY option - simply mix with your emulsion/acrylic base paint ( avoid mixing with gloss paints )"

I'm more in to home made at the moment though, as I have a gazillion tubs of old emulsion to use up. The ingredients list was interesting.

I'm gonna order some of that chalk paint powder and give it a whirl.

How do you all apply yours? A brush or a foam roller?

I wanted to ask about colours too... If you're doing furniture for one room do you keep it all the same colour or do you mix up the furniture to give it a more 'eclectic' feel? I have a monks bench and chest of drawers which I've painted cream and I'd like to paint the new bed a different colour but not sure how it will look?

Also, I have found the kettle I'm getting for the new house :)http://www.next.co.uk/x535382s1#860251x53

Sorry for all the questions, but I really want this house to be nice :D

    Kevin :)

    Hi JJ
Just wondering how you have made it?
I would love to do one too-apologies for being a copy cat!!!

I can source an old frame, have chalk paint & wax, what about the middle bit?
My friend made me something slightly similar last year, she used an old standing up frame, and printed out a message about "friends" onto the cardboard you find at the centre of roll of birthday/ xmas wrapping paper, then famed it in the old frame, it's in our bedroom.

just noticed another paint - ingredients list is
Ingredients: Water, various clays, chalk, kaolin, vinegar ester, methylcellulose, titanium dioxide (white and some colours), pigments (some colours), 0.1% synthetic preservative.

no idea what it's like but gives me ideas for my home made recipe!
