Last time I made HMCP the pop mixed with water set while I was measuring my paint out (should've done that first!) so I threw everything in my food processor. Was fine in the end. Probably not good for the food processor though...0

Keep an eye out for a cheap stick blender, I think you can get basic ones for about a fiver, or maybe pick one up at a boot fair.
I keep one especially for crafts. I used to do a lot of papier mache and the blender was good for mixing up the pulp.
One other thing, many years ago there used to be a DIY prog about a Canadian lady (Mag Ruffman) doing all sorts of odd jobs in her home. Only wish I could see it again.
Anyway she used to swear by painting with a good quality shaving brush, as she said it was ergonomically perfect for the job. I had one myself and it was very good.

I bought this at a boot for £3 - thought it would make a nice headboard. Only it's not wide enough and looks wrong. What to do with it - I have two faux fireplaces in the house already!0
