I went down to The Range today and bought myself a box of Plaster of Paris and on Sunday while I am watching the rugby, I am going to make my own chalk paint and attack a large gilt framed mirror.

    :)

I've also just picked up a G-Plan nest of tables from Freecycle which are in a quite poor condition so I think I'll repair them and then paint the legs and decoupage the tops. As the tops are flat, I shall call into Homebase and get some wallpaper samples for the decoupage bit.

    :T

I'd be so much more productive if I didn't have to go to work, you know.

I made it a few years ago using Cath kidston fabric. It now lives in the loft another project to overhaul I think. I am really liking rag quilts.

There's loads of printables for decoupage on Pinterest.

Here's a few I've seen over the last few days:

Yes I think that would be the best idea. I really like the rag effect.

Don't worry, it'll be fine :), and I really like this colour and use it a lot.

Gently rub down any lumps or deep brush marks with a very fine sandpaper,
then apply another coat, thin it down with water so it's quite runny, then do the same thing all over again if needed. If you are doing it inside, then it'll be dry in 30-60 minutes.

I use synthetic brushes with AS paint, and they wash out in soapy water, if I am using them for a few coats, I just wrap the brush in clingfilm and wash it out when I've finished.

Hope this helps put your mind at rest.

Hi, you wash your brushes in soapy water as its a water based paint.
Im sure you should be able to cover in one coat according to instructions. However I found it hard to work with, Ive just finshed a second coat of AS paint today on some cabinets. I found the AS paint a bit thick so I watered it down for a smoother surface and it did look a bit like this after 1st coat.
Another coat should even it out.
