I've just apples my wax I did it with a cloth and I have to say how it transforms it, it's looking good going to leave it now overnight cannot wait to get the clock workings back in it and see how it looks back up on the wall.
Once the wax is on do I have to do a lot of buffing or will it be ok till tomorrow it won't go cloudy or anything will it if I've not rubbed enough?
No, don't do any buffing at all tonight, just a gentle wipe with a soft cloth to remove any excess wax. Buff tomorrow, or even the next day, just don't do it too soon.0 -
What's the difference between AS and Authentico they were about the same price and both needed wax just curious
They are very similar, I have used both, in my opinion Autentico is a little easier to apply but doesn't cover so well initially. I think it also has a slightly smoother finish.
I get on well with AS now that I'm used to it, and I like her choice of colours, I just wish I had a local stockist!
Jackie at the Barristers Horse has written up a comparison between AS and Autentico on her blog. She is a stockist for Autentico and I know she also uses AS and F&B, so she knows her stuff.0 -

Here are a few photos of the telephone seat I have recently finished. I painted it with Annie Sloan French Linen and finished with clear wax, I stripped the seat and recovered it with Nina Campbell fabric.
Sorry the pics are sooooooo big, still trying to work out the new 'improved' (cough) photobucket:rotfl:0 -
