I had my first go with AS paint today. I thought it went on like a dream and the coverage is really good. I think you may have applied it more sparingly than I did? I was quite generous.
I really like the fact that it dries quickly as it means a small project can be done from start to finish in very little time. I find if I have to wait for something to dry, I end up moving onto another project and it's ages before I go back and finish the original one.
Made it to an AS stockists yesterday and got testers in Paloma, cream and Duck Egg blue.
Would take photo of item but pal has borrowed camera - it's only a little two shelf unit that I've done in Paris Grey, but am thinking of painting the interior cream or maybe adding some stencilling to the sides. Would like opinions when I post the pic please?0 -
Looking forward to pics of clock. I cant post pics as Im too new. I will have to save them up and post loads. I have a question, I have been reading past posts and see the initials CS come up. As in I bought this from CS or I visited my local CS. What is CS.
Bet its dead obvious0 -

Scotdee I had to de-lurk to tell you that CS = Charity ShopNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Ha ha knew it would be obvious. I was thinking of the names of charity shops not as a category. Probably as my high street is full of them not just one local shop. Thanks for putting me straight. Im a numpty tonight.0

I only bought one tester pot of duck egg blue so if I had applied it to thick I may not have been able to do the clock completely so that's why I was using it thinly, once I was down to just under half the pot I thinned it and it went on fine I bought pure white too my paint my wooden kitchen roll holder with that0 -

If you should ever need thinned down AS to thicken up again, just leave the lid off. My tins of paint seem to go on forever because of this0 -
I've just apples my wax I did it with a cloth and I have to say how it transforms it, it's looking good going to leave it now overnight cannot wait to get the clock workings back in it and see how it looks back up on the wall.
Once the wax is on do I have to do a lot of buffing or will it be ok till tomorrow it won't go cloudy or anything will it if I've not rubbed enough?0 -
What's the difference between AS and Authentico they were about the same price and both needed wax just curious0
