Annie Sloan chalk paint is only available from her and her stockists so you'd have to visit her website and see if there's one near you to avoid postage costs.
This is a gold plastic mirror I've just painted for a friend. I used an Annie sloan tester as a base coat then 3 other emulsions getting lighter in colour each time, stippled on. Then dark wax also stippled on for a 'stone' kind of look.

I too painted a gold plastic mirror, bought for 50p from a charity shop to go in our bathroom. The above stone effect looks great, I just painted mine cream to go with the bathroom but I think anything looks better than gold plastic lol“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Picked this up at the boot sale this morning. I failed to take a before shot but it was half painted black, with artists acrylic so it was really bumpy. I dug out the Annie Sloan in duck egg and it's looking so much better! I roughly highlighted the mouldings in old white. Not bad for a tenner!0

ooh it's lovely! I haven't been to a boot in ages... Half way through painting a 3 door pine dresser - it's going to be weeks before I finish at this rate and all the clutter from it is strewn over the tv room!0

There is definately something good about small projects that don't mess up the whole house! I have a chest of drawers to match the nightstand but I can't bear the thought of piles of clothes everywhere while I do it! x0

Oh wow, that is a gorgeous bedroom, princess vikki. And well done getting featured in a magazine.
Am so jealous and drooling over all your creations. I saved all the shabby chic threads and browsing through them. I had a go at making a simple curtain for the living room but still needs to do tiebacks. And just recently finished a cover for my black leather 3-seater chair. I'm quite pleased on how they turned out, just don't look at the back cos my stitches are all wonky
I used kingsize duvet covers for both.
Sorry guys I had to de-lurk to ask a question about ESP, is this the right stuff http://www.boatpaint.co.uk/acatalog/OwatrolESP_.html#a3447
£17.69 delivered, is it around this price I can expect to pay?
We have a large display cabinet in dark brown, home for dh golf trophies, that I'd like to paint in creamy colour and it would be a lot easier if I don't have to sand the thing. I would like to do the same with his bureau. I already bought an eggshell paint from homebase, couldn't stretch my budget for an F&B. My first little project would be our coffee table.
A big thank you to all of you for the inspirations and sharing your photos.:)0 -
What an adorable bedroom vikki. And the blog is brilliant too: very girly, I like it0

re ESp - that looks the right stuff but that firm charge £11 odd for delivery. I got some at £22 delivered from Amazon, and some local shops sell it.
I haven't used it yet, I'm chalk painting instead at the moment.

Thank you, chalkysoil. I looked in Amazon but searched for 'esp' and nothing came up. Just had to google chalk painting, the result looks great! I have so many ideas in my head now, don't know which one to try first
soooo exciting
