Today I have finished tiling and grouting my kitchen. It looks fabby.
It's horrid weather here and poor moggy is now sitting right next to my arm with her nose touching it because she's cold and I've knicked her seat. She's been asleep on the sofa for most of the day!
The collection only jobby that you use, is it a separate site or is it in the advanced search bit? (Not that I'm going to use it you understand, purely for research purposes!).
My beef with ebay is that it can't seem to differentiate between England and Wales. So if I put down nearest first, I get Cardiff and such like popping up as it's only about 5 miles from my house. As my car can't swim and I can't swim across with a dresser on my back and then walk up about a mile and a half of swampy mud, I don't want to see what I can't have from Cardiff!
Mind you, right move is the same :(

Its a seperate site local bargain finder . co . uk....not enough posts to do links lol

Not got any pics for you but someone did a Mexican style sideboard in the past and others have done windowed dressers if you look back through the thread.
What struck me was the misleading description out on by the seller - that may possibly be antique pine but there is not way that it is an antique dresser!
But good luck with your makeover and look forward to seeing the results!

Dulux mix your own would be ideal imo..as they are a good size tin, you can take in a sample of any colour to match and they are only about £1 so £4 max with a fair amount of paint left over :)

Sorry did you say that Dulux mix your own only costs £1 for a fair sized tin? Only that sounds like an amazing bargain!

I thought that too about the antique pine, lol.

It might have been me who painted the mexican sideboard, that's why I like this one as the sideboard I did was great to paint.
Looked for the windowed ones but with 3 threads of shabby chic in the past I could be a while! lol
    Thanks :D

  • Perhaps not shabby chic, but I used the free wallpaper samples to do it mentioned in the other thread :) so thought I'd show what I did with them! This was an plain black diary that I covered in wallpaper, and then cut out the cupcakes from another wallpaper, stuck them on and then covered with clear film :) Much snazzier!

Yes I can't remember their exact name but the tins they mixed for you in a special contraption and last year they cost 99p for a tin about the size of half a tin of baked beans maybe slightly larger....was sold in B&Q and Focus...and it was an amazing bargaing, ideal for furniture projects :D
