That's lovely Kevie, off to check out your blog.

This is a great thread. I'm book marking it so I can have a good look through when I have more time. Thanks for everybody who has taken time to add photos. I must work out who has blogs and take a look.

I made these lace cupcake wrappers today :) Made them from a pack of 49p doilies! I think they give them a wonderfully elegant touch. I have done a little tutorial on my page if anyones interested ^_^

My coffee table was looking very shabby after 15 or so years of use.
But it is SUCH a lovely piece.. and SO handy!.. All the downstairs kids toys are kept in there, and it matches my tv stand and dresser cabinet.. (well it used to.. but this table was the first item bought of the series)

It was well and truly worn..

I had already started sanding when I remembered to take pictures.. but it shows very clearly how discolored it was..

    And the end result:

I am pretty proud of it I must say.
    It's absolutely lovely.

Thanks to you all for the inspiration!

What is 'his other stuff?' Can you cut and paste what comes up in the address bar when you click on that link, so we can maybe work out what is happening?

I get the same. When you follow the link to the blog it comes up with Kevins handmade soaps blog but can't see a shabby chic / makeover blog iyswim.

MrsGreenToad I love the font you have on your blog. What is it?

Hi all, please can someone offer me some advice. I would like to paint a chest of drawers, it is pine at the moment and want to paint the bottom F&B dimnity and I want the top in brown.

What do I do? do I just paint the bottom with a plain white paint and then put the F&B dimnity on top? ALso, how do I do the brown top, do I just wax it? if yes, where do I get this wax and what is it called?

    Thanks xxx

Hi Bebs, welcome. If you have a look through the previous pages you will find loads and loads of 'How to's with advice, favoured products and photos too. I think you'll find everything you want to know. :)
