Hi, just catching up. hols sound lovely and that spend is nothing short of amazing. Well done.
The tax bill is a nightmare...you need to plead some kind of case to that....what have they been doing? ( apart from being blooming incompetent that is..) I feel for you!
Hope diet/ exercise is going well. I am really missing running, can't wait to start again. Feeling really sluggish now after about 5 months of (enforced) no exercise. Making me miserable if I am honest. Digging the allotment just isn't the same as pounding a treadmill:rotfl:
Hope rest of week gets better.... Life is so unfair sometimes for your colleagues. No age too...

Good morning dear friends. The sun has made a showing down south so I am going to walk to the gym for a vitamin D fix. The only thing now is to let time run it's course.

Walking in the sunshine invariably lifts my spirits, especially if there are flowers on the route.
:rotfl:Ignore Brizzle, you might be like me and allergic to gyms:rotfl:

Good Evening New Leaf, Grannyx2 here as promised. Hope you enjoyed the presents I dropped off. Just read through your diary and felt your joy and suffering at many points. Hope you don't mind, but I plan to stick around for a few years.
Sorry to hear about your sad news this weekend.
Poo to "Them" and their incompetence and unreasonable demands.
Loved the Doug and Brian story and looking forward to more Mrs Maloprop's. :rotfl:
Little funny for you - One day in Mcdon^lds with my 5 year old son, he announced to the entire room that he wanted vegetable nuggets because they were good for virgins. Still makes me giggle now and is one of "mum's embarrassing stories to tell" and as he is getting married this year, it may just form part of my speech.
Pulling up a sun lounger as we speak, I'll provide the wine and the dr*gs, if you'll provide the lounger and laughs. Make sure my lounger is reinforced though, as rather large Granny can't sit on flimsy chairs.
Feel your pain re all the "stuff". I'm still trying to whittle my stuff down as a newly reformed shopaholic become scrooge.

Good Morning to you Granny! Looks like we can have another morning lounging around my garden. Sun is out here down south and I believe it is supposed to be 24c!
I have super strong chairs as I am no waif (although in my mind I am slim and of so fit! :rotfl:)
I think I may be a hoarder of stationary supplies. I have about 30 rolls of cello tape. I am going to collect up all my pens, pencils, post it notes, etc and bring them over to the local primary. I might not be able to get in as there is a huge fence around it and it seems impossible to get in there. especially for a white haired lady wearing a vest top and flip flops as I am at the moment. I might have to put on some kind of sensible cardi!
so not exactly a Malaprop but this conversation was had yesterday. "me: Cathryn do you have a person email address?"
Her; "I think so"
Me "what is it?"
Her: "how do I know that?"

Wow, pity I'm stuck in my office all day, still I can look out at the pretty golden thing in the sky. :cool:I have super strong chairs as I am no waif (although in my mind I am slim and of so fit! :rotfl:)
I don't have that problem, although sometimes I think maybe I'm anorexic because everytime I look in the mirror I see a fat person. well boy is it hot! I sure am enjoying the sun
The dogs.. well they go out, lay in the sun, get too hot and come in and lay on the kitchen tile floor until they are cool enough to go back out.
Money saving today: all laundry hung out. eating food from fridge, got cheaper home insurance that includes contents cover for the same amount as the old buildings insurance. So I saved £200 a year go me.:T
In other news someone sideswiped my new car which was parked in front of my house. The damage isn't to bad apparently I need a (panel paddling)! but since the car has 400 miles on it it made me
I did go to the gym today however I ate 1/2 a tesco lemon iced maderia cake so... that wasn't so good.
Tomorrow have plans with a German friend for tea and then the boys are having a Eurovision party which I will have to turn up to for at least 45 minuts. During the day tomorrow if the heat will allow I will redecorate the box room with a second coat of paint.
How is everyone?
