I haven't read that one but am in the middle of reading 'Voluntary Simplicity'. It's definitely worth a read. Just need to persuade my OH now that less stuff is better...

Sorry to hear that NL..hope your OH feels better soon. Having just had an op myself I know it can be stressful and can knock you for 6 even when, as in my case, it was relatively routine.

well done on the asking for the days..its important to ask otherwise you just don't get:D

I haven't read either of these books but the VS one is allied to my fave one (I think). My favourite is still Your Money or Your Life...never been bettered in my humble opinion:)

    Morning NL,

Hope you are ok and your OH is feeling better soon.

I havent read any of the books that have been mentioned here, but they all look interesting. My house is overflowing with Stuff, but we are slowly getting rid of it. My problem is that I hang onto things for sentimental reasons, and thats what I cant bear to get rid of there, there are boxes and boxes and boxes threatening to take over the whole Pinot Household !

Best I get reading and quickly ! :D

    Hello Piq and friends!

OH came through surgery just fine. She is doing well and resting at home demanding food (ha!) a little bit swollen but otherwise ok.

Work has been a bear this week which isnt helping.

However on the money saving front I realised since my housekeeper/dog nanny has been gone for the last 2 weeks for easter back to Poland I have saved paying her wages which is £360 in pocket. Whoot!

Also I am doing all the walkies for the 3 mutts so am making my 10k steps per day so hopefully will have a positive effect on the waistline.

    Pinot,

I think a god rule of thumb is if you dont open a box for a year, then you don't need the stuff that is in it (obviously christmas ornaments excepted)

Maybe you could just pare it down.
