I haven't has the urge to put up the Christmas stuff. Have any of you decorated?

I did mine, I was too excited this is our first Christmas together (and our 8th anniversary on the 18th:j) but then as I'd made the mistake of posting a photo of the tree on facebook when we went to my parents for tea yesterday the had everything out of the loft and said "so you can have fun doing it all over again"

Doubt they'll go up so early next year. We'll see, need to get into the spirit as it's the kids Christmas party this Saturday at work and I've volunteered.

Oh my Grandma used to say "don't be bold" when her many offspring were being cheeky. She was a great character, and lived a great life, with all her faculties until she was 92. The tales she told were hilarious. Especially the fact that the year before she met her husband he set sail for America, only to be turned back a Staton Island when it was discovered that someone on board had a contagious illness. Fate had a hand in that, I reckon :-)
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

satchmo1 wow to have gone all that way and get tuned back must have been quite an experience.

So I have OH's Christmas list. A huge map of London so she can put pins in it to show the exact street addresses of all the tube stations to show that the tube map is a ficticious represntation of London (she is obsessed with this) and an electric screwdriver. The map is proving to be the hard one to track down because it needs to be big.

All 3 dogs had a bath last night, they were all very angry but seem to have forgot about it this morning.

I have made my 5 New Year's resolutions already, which are usually shallow and stupid but I have picked soe soul nourishing ones too.

And to top it all off I won a washer/dryer combination yesterday which I don't need so I am debating if I should sell it or give it to charity (but what charity would need it?!)

    xx

Isn't it amazing how much indignation dogs express at the time, even though they have been bathed many times before?
..PC's Dog used to make a point of disappearing as soon as she could after a bath [nerve-racking for us] to find something truly disgusting she could roll in to replace "her" scent; fox-poo or dead-thing were her favourites - yukyukyuk - though <touch wood> she hasn't done it this time thank goodness!

Wow - well done! If you're going with the idea of raising some money for charity rather than asking for gifts, then selling it privately - perfect timing for that! - would make a very good start to your fund. :D Or if you prefer to gift the washer direct, I dare say a DV refuge or night-shelter would be very grateful for it.
..Turn this un-needed windfall into good karma - what could be better? :D

Good oh! :D (did wonder if you mightn't do better with Amazon for this particular item? Can find you the details of a good [and economical] courier if you want to look into that option?).

I hadn't thought of Amazon. I will look into it as it is being delivered on Friday.

In other news it is back to hospital for me tomorrow to have another drain fitted on my right side. I have a huge amount of seroma build up, so will get it sorted.

Plan to get in bed with the littlest dog and read myself to sleep. x

Hi Newleaf. If you are after donating it, then perhaps the Salvation Army. They help homeless people too...

But otherwise yes a great idea to ebay it for a charity
