so my mom asked me yesterday what I wanted for the holidays. I told her nothing which is the truthful answer and now she things I am being fresh. PS that is a New York expression "don't be Fresh!" means like don't be bold

Sounds like a five year plan. You are going to have to give yourself that long to heal, being realistic. At that point you can see.

Maybe a savings account to fund possible future reconstruction might be a suitable destination for your Mum's desire to give you a gift?

    Dear Mom,
I've decided that as I really don't need any more possessions, I'm asking for donations to [insert name of favourite charity] instead of gifts this holiday.
[Explain why this charity is close to your heart].
I'd like to raise xxx and hope you will agree this is the best gift I could both receive and give right now.
    Love NewLeaf xxx

After all, you don't want to risk offending your Mum, do you? ;)

If I could honestly donate some tissue from mine I would they just seem to get in my way, in seriousness to that though I think what Robin suggested is something very good to think about even if it's just to consider your options.
