good news! A friend gave me a lift and drove arond R park to avoid congestion charge! I popped in to the doc, and we were away. £10 deposit intact.

You may remember that I lent someone some money and they didnt pay me back etc etc. well I finally summoned up the courage to call her (vm and left message) and text her about it.

No reply but I feel more "in control" for having done so.

Also our American friends that we usually go on holiday with evey year to somewhere long haul for us, planned the annual trip to Ixtapa Mexico. With flights and everything it would cost us about £5,000 for just one week and I told them NO too.

It's the leaset I can do for NO!vember

    WELL DONE New Leaf!!:j

    Thats fab.

You may have read that I had to say no (twice..they didnt hear me the first time:o) to friends for a holiday to Thailand next year..first time for everything:o. Just said we couldn't afford it.

Maybe we are just slowly, carefully, changing habits....?? maybe the forties are our decade?;)

Congrats honey and have a restful day. How are you feeling healthwise btw?

o the stitches in the chest and the steri strips are gone. the doctor was pleased but he wants the wounds to keep coming together so no lifting blah blah.

Still on the blasted compact speedy catheter (i find speedy to be false advertising)

in other news, I have lost an additional 2 lbs which brings be to 13.0 on the dot. 35lbs more to go to reach my goal which I have given myself all of 2013 to reach.

OH and I had a small difference of opinion re: Christmas Gifts last night. Therefore I am home, and she is at the mall buying jumpers that cost £60 a piece from a trendy American brand for her neices. (Gag) and I am here with you :)

    Hello NewLeaf, :hello:

It's good to see your feisty nature come to the fore, again. ;):)

You won't be able to take up caber tossing for several months - bummer. :o Did you mention the Bio Oil to your Doc? (Not that it will speed up the internal healing). This is one of those occasions when patience is required, unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that; have you been given any exercises to do?

It might be.. How much do you know about alternative 'non-speedy' methods of achieving the aim?

Well done on weight loss! :T Good luck for reaching your target (am failing miserably in that department myself atm :( ).

Oops. Best thing to do is hope it makes her happy to indulge her nieces.. Don't make the profligacy into a weapon.. Nobody's perfect, everyone has blips. :o

    hello friends

tonight I will be alone with my housekeeper. OH's sister's 40th and as OH's Mum will be there (she hates me) I havent been invted. They are all staying at a hotel out west and fancy dinner etc.

This will give me the perfect free time to do a diy manicure, and then hog the whole bed!

An excellent attitude; make the most of the positives! :D (I'd probably add chocolate to the indulgence. ;) )

Erm, unless you're planning to do the manicure in bed?
