Useless jobs still being recruited for in the civil service

compliance is compliance - you don't hire a person because they may be gay or mixed race and be bad at their job, you hire them because you beleive they can do the job. if they're gay or from an ethnic background has little to do with it.
it's always worrying to see people try to muddle the gay/ ethinc thing
I believe you will find that it is the same legislation which covers both. Are you now saying there are different types of equality?0 -
nope - what i'm saying is that there a lots of "non-jobs" in the public sector. that people get hired for on their suitability.I believe you will find that it is the same legislation which covers both. Are you now saying there are different types of equality?
trying to confuse the issue by saying that someone will get a job because they are gay or from an ethnic background is a red-herring.
they get the job because their employer thinks they are suitable not because of the sexual orientation or race.
otherwise these councils would exclusively just employ homo-sexuals or non-white people.0 -

Huh?
Sorry, no offence, but what the flying f**k is hetronormative?

actually i've also heard it used (usually perjoritavely) to describe monogomous butch/femme lesbian relationships as these are seen as aping the conventions of dominant heterosexuality. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0
